शहंशाह और बुलबुल की कहानी की सच्ची कहानी
पुराने समय की बात है चीन के दूरदराज के इलाके में शहंशाह की हुकूमत हुआ करती थी । शहंशाह का महल बहुत ही शानदार और आलीशान था । और महल के चारों ओर इतना बड़ा बगीचा था कि उसके माली को भी उसकी हद पता नहीं थी । बगीचे के एक पेड़ पर एक छोटी सी बुलबुल रहा करती थी। वह बहुत ही मधुर स्वर में गाना गाती थी । जिसका आनंद बगीचे के सारे लोग लिया करते थे । केवल राजा ही ऐसे थे जो उस बुलबुल के गीत का आनंद नहीं ले पाते थे । क्योंकि उन्हें पता ही नहीं था कि उनके महल के बगीचे में एक इतनी सुंदर और इतना प्यारा गाना गाने वाली एक मधुर बुलबुल रहती है। एक दिन जापान का एक सैनिक शहंशाह के महल में आता है और कहता है कि हमारे महाराज आपसे मिलना चाहते हैं। इसलिए वह कल यहां आ रहे हैं । और इस बात को सुनकर शहंशाह को खुशी होती है । शहंशाह अपने सैनिकों को कहते हैं कि उनकी स्वागत की व्यवस्था की जाए और साथ में यह भी कहा कि उनका स्वागत ऐसे किया जाए जैसे किसी ने कभी ना किया हो। शहंशाह के आदेश मुताबिक जापान के शहंशाह का बहुत ही जबरदस्त स्वागत हुआ और मेहमान नवाजी में उनके लिए ढेरों पकवान बनाए गए।जापान के शहंशाह को एक बहुत ही प्यारा कमरा रहने के लिए दिया गया। जिसमें हर प्रकार की सुख सुविधाएं थी। शहंशाह को बहुत खुशी हुई कि जापान के शहंशाह हमारे यहां की व्यवस्था को इतनी पसंद कर रहे हैं। उन्हें बगीचे में घुमाया गया और उन्हें अपनी प्रजा से भी मिलवाया । वहां से जाते वक्त उन्हें बुलबुल की मधुर आवाज सुनाई दी । जापान के शहंशाह बुलबुल की मधुर आवाज के दीवाने हो गए।
फिर एक दिन जापान के शहंशाह, शहंशाह के लिए एक खत भेजते हैं ।तो शहंशाह कहते हैं कि जापान के शहंशाह की भेजी हुई चिट्ठी पढ़कर सुनाई जाए । जापान के शहंशाह, शहंशाह का शुक्रिया करते हैं और साथ में यह भी कहते हैं कि उनकी प्रजा और भोजन ने हमारा दिल जीत लिया। आप के बगीचे की बुलबुल की मीठी आवाज को सुनकर तो हम एक अलग दुनिया में चले गए । जैसे ही चिट्ठी में बुलबुल का जिक्र होता है तो महाराज कहते हैं कि यह बुलबुल कौन है जिसकी आवाज हमनें नहीं सुनी। शहंशाह ने बुलबुल को अपने पास बुलाने का आदेश दिया ।
शहंशाह ने बुलबुल की आवाज सुनी। तो शहंशाह ने कहा तुम्हारी आवाज तो बहुत ही मीठी है ,प्यारे नन्हे पक्षी। शहंशाह ने बुलबुल को अपने महल में रखा ताकि वो उसकी मीठी आवाज को रोज सुन सके। एक दिन जापान के शहंशाह, शहंशाह के लिए एक तोहफा भेजते हैं । जिसके अंदर एक चाबी से चलने वाली प्लास्टिक की बुलबुल होती है । उसमें चाबी भरते हैं वह एक सुंदर सा गीत गाने लगती है । शहंशाह उस तोहफे को देख करके बहुत खुश होते हैं। अब महाराज हर रोज खिलौने वाली बुलबुल की ही आवाज सुना करते थे । यह देखकर बुलबुल को बहुत बुरा लगा और वह महल से उड़ गई । और दोबारा लौटकर नहीं आई । फिर एक दिन खिलौना खराब हो गया । इसलिए महाराज ने अपने सैनिकों से कहा कि तुम इसको ठीक करवा कर लाओ । जब सैनिक वापस आए तो उन्होंने बताया कि महाराज पूरी दुनिया में हमें ऐसा कोई खिलौने ठीक करने वाला नहीं मिला जो इस खिलौने को ठीक कर सके । फिर राजा को अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ कि उन्होंने एक प्लास्टिक के खिलौने के लिए अपनी दोस्त को छोड़ दिया। बुलबुल के गम में शहंशाह ने खाना पीना छोड़ दिया और दिन प्रतिदिन वह बहुत बीमार होने लगे। इसीलिए गांव के पास के एक वैद्य को बुलाया गया और उनसे शहंशाह का इलाज करवाया गया । फिर वैद्य ने कहा कि इनका इलाज सिर्फ उस बुलबुल की आवाज है । जिसकी वजह से इन्होंने सब कुछ खाना पीना छोड़ दिया है । सैनिक अपने शहर से बाहर निकल गए और हर जगह बुलबुल को ढूंढने लगे । काफी दिन बीत गए लेकिन बुलबुल कहीं नहीं मिल रही थी। और शहंशाह की तबीयत भी खराब होती जा रही थी। वैध ने कहा कि अगर कुछ दिनों के अंदर बुलबुल नहीं मिली तो हम अपने राजा को खो देंगे। इसीलिए सैनिकों ने चारों ओर ऐलान कर दिया कि जो कोई भी बुलबुल को ढूंढ कर लाएगा हम उसे 1000 सोने के सिक्के देंगे। एक दिन अचानक बुलबुल उड़ते उड़ते राजा के महल में वापस अपने आप आ गई । सब ने देखा की बुलबुल लौट आई है और वह सीधा शहंशाह के कमरे की खिड़की पर जाकर बैठ गई । जब उसने देखा कि शहंशाह बिस्तर पर लेटे हैं तो उसने अपना गाना गाना शुरू किया। जैसे ही बुलबुल की मधुर आवाज शहंशाह के कानों में पड़ी तो शहंशाह उठकर खड़े हो गए और उनकी आंखों से आंसू बहने लगे । वह भाग के खिड़की के पास गए और बुलबुल को अपनी हथेली में उठा लिया और गले से लगाया। यह देखकर बुलबुल को बहुत खुशी हुई और उसने गाना गाना शुरू कर दिया और शहंशाह ने उसका गाना काफी लंबे समय तक सुना। धीरे-धीरे शहंशाह के स्वास्थ्य में भी सुधार हुआ और वह पहले की तरह ठीक हो गए ।बुलबुल शहंशाह के सबसे अच्छी दोस्त बन गई।
