एक तालाब था । उस तालाब में बहुत सारे मेंढक रहते थे । उस तालाब के पास ही एक खंभा था । एक दिन तालाब के सारे मेंढकों ने सोचा कि – क्यों ना एक प्रतियोगिता रखी जाए । कि इस खंभे पर जो सबसे पहले चढ़ेगा वही हमारा विजेता होगा । और उसे इनाम दिया जाएगा । तालाब के सभी मेंढकों में यह प्रतियोगिता शुरू हो गई । आसपास के और भी मेंढक इस प्रतियोगिता को देखने आए । सभी मेंढक उस खंभे पर चढ़ने का प्रयास करने लगे । जैसे ही मेंढक उस खंभे पर चढ़ रहे थे , वे बार-बार फिसल कर नीचे गिर जाते । लेकिन दोबारा चढ़ते , फिर नीचे गिर जाते । बहुत से मेंढक ऐसे थे जो हार मानकर एक किनारे बैठ गए और कहने लगे कि नहीं , यह तो असंभव है । इस खंभे पर कोई नहीं चढ़ सकता , क्योंकि यह खंबा बहुत ही चिकना है । कुछ मेंढक अब भी प्रयास कर रहे थें, परंतु कुछ दूरी पर ही चढ़े थे कि फिर फिसल कर नीचे आ गए । किनारे पर बैठे हुए मेंढक चिल्ला रहे थे कि – अरे यह नहीं होगा , वापस आ जाओ । ऐसा कहकर वे उनकी आशा को तोड़ रहे थे । तभी सारे मेंढकों ने हार मान ली । लेकिन एक छोटा सा मेंढक अभी चढ़ ही रहा था । बार-बार गिरता था , फिर चढ़ता था । फिर गिरता था , फिर चढ़ता था । उसे भी सारे मेंढक पीछे से कह रहे थे कि – अरे नहीं , तुम इस खंभे पर चढ़ ही नहीं सकते , वापिस आ जाओ । इस खंभे पर कोई नहीं चढ़ सकता । लेकिन वह छोटा सा मेंढक किसी की बात सुन ही नहीं रहा था और वह चढ़ता गया ,फिर गिरता गया । इस तरह वह अपने प्रयास से धीरे-धीरे उस खंभे के ऊंचाई पर पहुंच गया और वहां पर चढ़कर बैठ गया । ऐसा देख सारे जो मेंढक थे , सब हैरान हो गए और कहने लगे कि ये तुमने किस तरह कर दिया ? तुम किस तरह इतनी ऊंचाई पर चढ़ गए । हमसे तो यह काम हो ही नहीं रहा था । तब उनमें से एक जो बूढा मेंढक था । वह बोला कि अरे ! इससे क्या पूछ रहे हो , यह मेंढक तो बहरा है ।
तो दोस्तों , इस कहानी से यही सीख मिलती है कि यदि जीवन में सफलता पानी है , तो हमें दुनिया वालों की बात पर ध्यान न देकर सिर्फ अपने काम को करने का जज्बा रखना चाहिए । हो सकता है कि हम एक या दो बार उसमें असफल हो जाए , लेकिन एक ना एक दिन हमारी मेहनत जरूर सफल होगी ।
There was a pond. Many frogs lived in that pond. There was a pillar near that pond. One day all the frogs in the pond thought that why not have a competition. That the one who climbs this pole first will be our winner. And he will be rewarded. This competition started among all the frogs in the pond. Other frogs from around also came to watch this competition. All the frogs started trying to climb that pole. As the frogs were climbing that pole, they would repeatedly slip and fall down. But would climb again, then fall down again. There were many frogs who accepted defeat and sat on one side and said no, this is impossible. No one can climb this pillar, because this pillar is very smooth. Some frogs were still trying, but had climbed only a short distance and then slipped and came down. The frogs sitting on the bank were shouting that - Oh this will not happen, come back. By saying this, he was breaking their hope. Only then all the frogs accepted defeat. But a small frog was still climbing. Used to fall again and again, then used to climb. Then used to fall, then used to rise. All the frogs were also telling him from behind that – oh no, you cannot climb this pole at all, come back. No one can climb this pillar. But that little frog was not listening to anyone and he kept climbing, then kept falling. In this way, with his efforts, he slowly reached the height of that pillar and climbed there and sat down. Seeing this, all the frogs were surprised and asked how did you do this? How did you climb so high? We were not able to do this work at all. Then one of them who was an old frog. He said hey! What are you asking him, this frog is deaf.
So friends, this story teaches us that if there is success in life, then we should have the spirit of doing our work only by not paying attention to the people of the world. We may fail in it once or twice, but one day our hard work will definitely be successful.
