ये कहानी तब की है जब भगवान शंकर और मां पार्वती अक्सर कैलाश पर्वत पर पासा खेलते थे। तो एक दिन, भगवान शंकर और माता पार्वती के बीच में प्रकृति के महत्व और पुरुष की श्रेष्ठता को लेकर बहस हो गयी। क्योंकि भगवान शंकर पुरुष की श्रेष्ठता पर जोर दे रहे थे तो भगवान शंकर ने मां पार्वती से कहा कि संसार एक भ्रम है।

प्रकृति एक भ्रम है। सभी कुछ एक मृगतृष्णा है, यहाँ पल आता है और चला जाता है, यहां तक कि भोजन भी एक माया है। माता पार्वती जो भोजन सहित सभी भौतिक चीजों की जननी है, भगवान शिव की बात सुन कर माता पार्वती जी क्रोधित हो गई। तभी मां पार्वती बोली “अगर मैं सिर्फ एक भ्रम हूं, तो देखते है आप और बाकी दुनिया मेरे बिना कैसे रहते है,” ऐसा कहकर वो दुनिया से ग़ायब हो गई।

उनके लापता होने से ब्रह्मांड में हाहाकार मच गया। समय स्थिर हो गया, ऋतु परिवर्तन रुक सा गया, धरती बंजर हो गई और भयानक सूखा पड़ने लगा। आकाश, पाताल और धरती तीनों लोकों में मिलने वाला भोजन उपलब्ध नहीं था। देवता, दानव और मनुष्य भूख से तड़प रहे थे।

दुनिया भोजन से वंचित हो गई और हर जगह अकाल पड़ गया। जब भगवान शंकर के अनुयायी भोजन के लिए उनसे भीख माँगने लगे, तो भगवान शंकर ने अनुयायियों के लिए घर-घर जाकर भोजन की भीख माँगी। लेकिन किसी के पास कुछ भी देने के लिए नहीं था।भगवान विष्णु ने भगवान शंकर से कहा मैंने सुना है काशी में एक महिला ने लोगों के लिए भोजन दान करना शुरू किया है। भोजन की भीख माँगने के लिए भगवान शंकर काशी गए, लेकिन जब उन्हें पता चला की रसोई को चलाने वाली कोई और नही बल्कि उनकी पत्नी पार्वती ही थी।

वह बैंगनी और भूरे रंग के वस्त्र पहने और आभूषणों से सजी हुई थी, और वह एक सिंहासन पर बैठी हुई थी, और एक एक करके भूखे देवताओं और पृथ्वी के भूखे निवासियों को भोजन परोस रही थी। उन्होंने अपने पुत्रों कार्तिकेय और गणेश को भी भोजन कराया।

मां पार्वती का यह सुंदर रूप कोई और नहीं बल्कि देवी अन्नपूर्णा देवी थीं, जो पूर्ण और संपूर्ण हैं। अन्नपूर्णा ने शिव को भिक्षा के रूप में  भोजन कराया, और देवी ने प्रसन्न होकर कहा कि “मैं अन्नपूर्णा के रूप में काशी में निवास करुँगी।”

This story is from when Lord Shankar and mother Parvati often played dice on Mount Kailash. So one day, there was an argument between Lord Shankar and Mother Parvati about the importance of nature and the superiority of man. Because Lord Shankar was emphasizing on the superiority of man, Lord Shankar told Mother Parvati that the world is an illusion.

Nature is an illusion. Everything is a mirage, here the moment comes and goes, even the food is an illusion. Mother Parvati, who is the mother of all material things including food, got furious on hearing the words of Lord Shiva. Then Mother Parvati said, "If I am just an illusion, then let's see how you and the rest of the world live without me," saying that she disappeared from the world.

His disappearance caused an outcry in the universe. Time stood still, the change of seasons stopped, the earth became barren and there was a terrible drought. There was no food available in the three worlds of sky, paatal and earth. The gods, demons and humans were suffering from hunger.

The world was deprived of food and there was famine everywhere. When the followers of Lord Shankar started begging him for food, Lord Shankar went door to door begging for food for the followers. But no one had anything to give. Lord Vishnu said to Lord Shankar. I have heard that a woman in Kashi has started donating food for people. Lord Shankar went to Kashi to beg for food, but when he came to know that there was no one else running the kitchen but his wife Parvati.

She was dressed in purple and brown robes and adorned with ornaments, and she was seated on a throne, serving food one by one to the hungry gods and the hungry inhabitants of the earth. He also fed his sons Kartikeya and Ganesha.

This beautiful form of Maa Parvati was none other than Goddess Annapurna Devi, who is complete and complete. Annapurna offered food to Shiva in the form of alms, and the goddess was pleased and said that "I will reside in Kashi in the form of Annapurna."

एक बार की बात है एक कसाई था जिसका नाम सदना था। वह एक बहुत ही ईमानदार आदमी था। वह भगवान शिव के कीर्तन में मस्त रहता था। यहां तक कि वह मांस काटते हुए भी भगवान शिव का नाम गुनगुनाता रहता था। एक दिन वह अपनी धुन में कहीं जा रहा था तभी अचानक उसका पैर एक काले रंग के गोल पत्थर से टकराया। उसने वह पत्थर उठाया और उसको देखा फिर उसे लगा कि यह पत्थर उसके मांस तोलने के काम में आ सकता है तो वह पत्थर अपनी जेब में रख कर वापस घर की ओर चला गया।

अब वह रोज मांस तोलने के लिए उसी पत्थर का इस्तेमाल करता था। परंतु उसको उस पत्थर में कुछ अजीब सा लगा।  क्योंकि जब भी वह मांस तोलता तो पत्थर अपने वजन को मांस के अनुसार ढाल लेता । जितना वजन उसको तोलना होता पत्थर उतने ही वजन का हो जाता था। उसको यह लगा कि यह पत्थर कोई आम पत्थर नहीं है इसमें जरूर कोई चमत्कारी शक्ति है। धीरे-धीरे यह बात फैलने लगी कि सदना कसाई के पास एक ऐसा पत्थर है जो जितना चाहते हैं पत्थर उतना ही तोल देता है ।धीरे-धीरे इस चमत्कारी पत्थर के कारण उसके यहां लोगों की भीड़ जुटने लगी ।भीड़ के साथ ही सदना की दुकान की बिक्री भी बढ़ गई थी। फिर कुछ समय बाद एक शुद्ध ब्राह्मण वहां पर पहुंचे हालांकि वे ऐसी अशुद्ध जगहों पर नहीं जाते थे जहां पर मांस कटता या बिकता हो किंतु उस चमत्कारी पत्थर को देखकर उसकी उत्सुकता बढ़ गई और वह सदना की दुकान पर चला गया फिर दूर दूर खड़ा सदना कसाई को मास तोलते हुए देखने लगे जब सदना कसाई ने ब्राह्मण को देखा तो वह चौक गया। उसने बड़ी नम्रता से ब्राह्मण को बैठने के लिए स्थान दिया और पूछा कि वह उनकी क्या सेवा कर सकता है। तभी ब्राह्मण बोले मैं तुम्हारे इस चमत्कारी पत्थर को देखने के लिए आया हूं। ऐसा कह सकते हो कि यह पत्थर ही मुझे तुम्हारी दुकान पर खींच लाया है फिर कसाई ने ब्राह्मण को सारी बात बताई किस तरह यह पत्थर अपने आप वजन तोलता है । ब्राह्मण ने उनको बताया कि यह कोई आम पत्थर नहीं है बल्कि यह शिव का शालिग्राम है जो कि भगवान का स्वरूप होता है और साथ में उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि शालीग्राम जी को इस तरह से मांस के बीच में भगवान को रखना बहुत बड़ा पाप है। जब ब्राह्मण ने यह बात बोली तो सदना को लगा कि उसने जाने अनजाने में कितना बड़ा पाप कर दिया है। फिर सदना ने हाथ जोड़कर ब्राह्मण से कहा कि हे ब्राह्मण आप इस शालीग्राम को अपने साथ ले जाइए। इसलिए ब्राह्मण शालीग्राम को अपने साथ बड़े सम्मान से घर ले आए। घर आकर उन्होंने श्री शालीग्राम को स्नान करवाया और पंचामृत से अभिषेक किया व उनकी पूजा अर्चना आरंभ कर दी।

कुछ दिनों बाद ब्राह्मण के सपने में भगवान शिव आए और कहा कि हे ब्राह्मण मैं तुम्हारी सेवाओं से बहुत प्रसन्न हूं पर  तुम मुझे वापस उसी कसाई के पास छोड़ आओ। फिर ब्राह्मण ने स्वपन में ही भगवान शिव से कारण पूछा तो उन्हें उत्तर मिला कि तुम मेरी अर्चना पूजा करते हो । मुझे अच्छा लगता है परंतु जो मेरे नाम का गुणगान कीर्तन करते रहते हैं। उनको मैं अपने आपको भी सौप देता हूं। सदना तुम्हारी तरह मेरी अर्चना नहीं करता फिर भी वह हर समय मेरा नाम गुनगुनाता रहता है। जो कि मुझे बहुत अच्छा लगता है। इसीलिए तो मैं उसके पास गया था। अगले दिन ब्राह्मण कसाई के पास गए और सदना को हाथ जोड़कर प्रणाम किया और उनको अपने स्वपन की सारी बात बताई और शालीग्राम को सौंप दिया। ब्राह्मण की बात सुनकर सदना की आंखों में आंसू आ गए। मन ही मन उसने मांस बेचने और खरीदने के कार्य को तिलांजलि देने की सोची और यह फैसला किया कि अगर मेरे भगवान को मेरा कीर्तन पसंद है तो मैं और भी ज्यादा उनके नाम का कीर्तन करूंगा।

तो इस कहानी से हमें यह सीख मिलती है कि जरूरी नहीं है कि जो शुद्ध है, पवित्र है, शाकाहारी है सिर्फ वह ही भगवान की भक्ति कर सकते है। अगर मनुष्य का मन सच्चा है और उसमें भगवान की पूजा करने की लगन है तो चाहे वो किसी भी जाति या धर्म का हो भगवान को पा सकता है।

Once upon a time there was a butcher whose name was Sadana. He was a very honest man. He used to indulge in kirtan of Lord Shiva. Even while cutting the meat, he kept on humming the name of Lord Shiva. One day he was going somewhere in his tune when suddenly his foot hit a black round stone. He picked up the stone and saw it, then he felt that this stone can be used to weigh his flesh, so he kept the stone in his pocket and went back towards the house.

Now he used to use the same stone to weigh meat every day. But he felt something strange in that stone. Because whenever he weighed the meat, the stone would adjust its weight according to the meat. The amount of weight he had to weigh, the stone would have become the same weight. He felt that this stone is not a common stone, it must have some miraculous power. Slowly it started spreading that Sadna Butcher has such a stone which gives as much weight as the stone wants. Gradually due to this miraculous stone, people started gathering here. Sales had also increased. Then after some time a pure Brahmin reached there, although he did not go to such unclean places where meat is cut or sold, but seeing that miraculous stone, his curiosity increased and he went to the shop of Sadna, then the Sadna butcher standing far away When the Sadana butcher saw the Brahmin, he was shocked. He politely gave the brahmin a place to sit and asked what he could do to serve them. Then the brahmin said, I have come to see this miraculous stone of yours. You can say that it is this stone that has dragged me to your shop, then the butcher told the whole thing to the brahmin, how this stone weighs itself. The Brahmin told him that this is not a common stone but it is the Shaligram of Shiva, which is the form of God and also he told that it is a great sin to keep the Lord in the middle of the flesh in this way. When the brahmin spoke this, Sadhana felt that she had committed a great sin knowingly and unknowingly. Then Sadna said with folded hands to the brahmin that oh brahmin, take this Shaligram with you. So the Brahmins brought Shaligram home with them with great respect. After coming home, he bathed Shri Shaligram and anointed him with Panchamrit and started worshiping him.

After some days Lord Shiva came in the Brahmin's dream and said that O Brahmin, I am very happy with your services, but you leave me back to the same butcher. Then the brahmin asked Lord Shiva the reason in his dream and he got the answer that you worship my archana. I like it but those who keep praising my name. I give myself to them too. Sadhana does not worship me like you, yet he keeps on humming my name all the time. Which I like very much. That's why I went to him. The next day the brahmin went to the butcher and bowed down to Sadna with folded hands and told her all about his dream and handed it over to Shaligram. Tears welled up in Sadana's eyes after listening to the Brahmin. In his mind, he thought of giving up the business of selling and buying meat and decided that if my Lord liked my kirtan, then I would chant his name even more.

So from this story we get a lesson that it is not necessary that one who is pure, pure, vegetarian, only he can worship God. If a man's mind is sincere and has the passion to worship God, then he can find God, irrespective of caste or religion.

एक बूढ़ा बाप 

एक बार की बात है एक बूढ़ा बाप अपने बेटे और बहू के साथ रहने के लिए उनके शहर गया । उनके अत्यंत बूढ़े हो जाने के कारण उनके हाथ कांपने लगे थे और उन्हें दिखाई भी कम देता था । उनके बेटा और बहू एक छोटे से घर में रहते थे। उनका पूरा परिवार और उसका 4 वर्ष का एक पोता भी था। वह हर रोज एक साथ बैठकर ही खाना खाते थे। तो वह भी उनके साथ खाना खाने लगा। लेकिन बूढ़े होने के कारण उस व्यक्ति को खाने में बहुत दिक्कत होती थी। खाते समय चम्मच से दाने नीचे गिर जाते थे और उनका हाथ कांपने लगता था । कभी-कभी हाथ से दूध भी गिर जाया करता था । तो बेटा बहू कुछ दिनों तक यह सब सहन करते रहे । पर कुछ दिनों बाद उन्हें अपने पिता की इन कामों पर से नफ़रत होने लगी। तभी बेटे ने कहा कि हमें इनका कुछ करना पड़ेगा और बहू ने भी उनकी हां में हां मिलाई ।और कहा आखिर कब तक हम इनकी वजह से अपने खाने का मजा किरकिरा करते रहेंगे।  इनकी वजह से हमारे कितनी चीजों का नुकसान भी हो गया है और यह सब मुझसे देखा नहीं जाता। तो अगले दिन बेटे ने अपने पिता के लिए कमरे के कोने में एक पुराना मेज़ लगा दिया। और अपने बूढ़े बाप से कहा कि पिताजी आप यहां पर बैठ कर खाना खाया करो तब से बूढ़ा बाप अकेले ही बैठ कर अपना भोजन करने लगा । यहां तक कि उसे खाने और पीने के लिए भी लकड़ी के बर्तन दिए गए ताकि उनके टूटने पर उनका नुकसान ना हो । और वह तीनों लोग पहले की तरह ही भोजन करने लगे । जब कभी कभी बेटा और बहू अपने बूढ़े बाप की तरफ देखते थे तो उनकी आंखों में कुछ आंसू आ जाते थे लेकिन फिर भी उन्होंने अपना मन नहीं बदला ।वे उनकी छोटी-छोटी गलतियों के कारण उन्हें ढेर सारी बातें सुना देते थे। उनका 4 साल का बेटा यह सब कुछ बड़े ध्यान से देखता रहता था । इसलिए एक दिन खाने से पहले छोटा बेटा अपने माता पिता के साथ जमीन पर बैठ गया और कुछ करने लगा । तभी बेटे के बाप ने पूछा कि तुम यह क्या बना रहे हो तो बच्चे ने मासूमियत के साथ जवाब दिया कि मैं आप लोगों के लिए लकड़ी का एक कटोरा बना रहा हूं ।ताकि जब आप बूढ़े हो जाओ तो मैं आपको इसमें खाना दे सकूं और यह कह कर वह बच्चा अपने काम पर फिर से लग गया । इस बात पर उसके माता-पिता को बहुत गहरा असर पड़ा । उनके मुंह से एक भी शब्द नहीं निकला और उनकी आंखों से आंसू बहने लगे। उन दोनों को अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ वे दोनों बिना कुछ बोले ही समझ चुके थे कि उन्हें क्या करना है  । उस रात वे अपने बूढ़े पिता को वापिस डिनर टेबल पर ले आए और उनके साथ दुर्व्यवहार नहीं किया ।

 हमारी जिंदगी भी बिल्कुल ऐसे ही हैं हम अच्छे कर्म करें या बुरे कर्म । हमें अपने कर्मों का फल इसी जन्म में भोगना पड़ता है। इसीलिए समय रहते ही अपने बुरे कर्मों को अच्छे कर्मों में बदल दें क्योंकि अगर वक्त ने बदला तो बहुत तकलीफ होगी।

Once upon a time an old father went to live with his son and daughter-in-law in their city. Due to his very old age, his hands started trembling and he could see less. His son and daughter-in-law lived in a small house. He also had a whole family and a 4-year-old grandson. They used to eat food every day sitting together. So he also started eating food with them. But due to old age, that person had a lot of difficulty in eating. While eating, the grains used to fall down from the spoon and his hand used to tremble. Sometimes even milk used to fall from his hand. So the son-in-law continued to bear all this for a few days. But after a few days, he started hating his father for these works. Then the son said that we have to do something for them and the daughter-in-law also said yes to her. And said how long will we continue to enjoy our food because of them. Because of these, so many things have been lost to us and all this is not seen from me. So the next day the son put up an old table for his father in the corner of the room. And told his old father that father, you sit here and eat food, since then the old father started eating his food sitting alone. Even wooden utensils were given to him to eat and drink so that they would not be damaged if they broke. And those three people started eating as before. Whenever son and daughter-in-law used to look at their old father, some tears would come in their eyes but still they did not change their mind. They used to tell them many things because of their small mistakes. His 4-year-old son used to watch all this very carefully. So one day before eating, the younger son sat down with his parents on the ground and started doing something. Then the son's father asked what are you making this, the child replied with innocence that I am making a wooden bowl for you guys. So that when you are old I can give you food in it and it Saying that the child resumed his work. This had a profound effect on his parents. Not a single word came out of his mouth and tears started flowing from his eyes. Both of them realized their mistake, without saying anything, both of them understood what they had to do. That night he brought his old father back to the dinner table and did not misbehave with him.

 Our life is also like this, whether we do good deeds or bad deeds. We have to bear the fruits of our actions in this birth. That is why in time change your bad deeds into good deeds because if time changes then there will be a lot of trouble.

Why did Putna get heaven? Who was Putna in her first birth? पूतना को क्यों मिला स्वर्ग ? पूतना पहले जन्म में कौन थी ?

पूतना राक्षसी पिछले जन्म में राजा बलि की पुत्री थी। बात तब की है जब राजा बलि जो भक्त प्रहलाद के पौत्र थे वे अश्वमेघ यज्ञ कर रहे थे ।अपने यज्ञ का पूर्ण फल पाने के लिए वे अपने द्वार से किसी भी भिक्षुक को खाली हाथ नही भेजते थे। जब भगवान वामन देव का अवतार हुआ और वे राजा बलि के द्वार पर तीन पग भूमि मांगने आए तब राजा बलि की पुत्री ने उन्हे देखा और सोचा कि काश! ये मेरा पुत्र होता तो मैं इसे अपना दूध पिलाती। भगवान वामन देव जी ने उसके इस भाव को ग्रहण किया।परंतु जब वामन देव ने तीन पग भूमि नापने के लिए अपने रूप को विराट बनाया। तब उन्होंने पहले और दूसरे पग में सारी सृष्टि को नाप दिया तब उन्होंने राजा बलि से कहा कि वे अपने तीसरे पग में क्या नापे?। तब वामन देव जी ने तीसरा पग राजा बलि के कथन अनुसार उनके  सिर पर रखा। और तीसरे पग में उन्होंने राजा बलि को नापा।और उन्हे पाताल का राजा बना दिया । इस पर उनकी पुत्री को बहुत गुस्सा आया और उसके मन  में विचार आया कि अगर मेरा ऐसा पुत्र होता तो मैं इसे विष पिलाकर मार देती। भगवान वामन देव जी ने उसके इस भाव को भी ग्रहण किया और मन में ही कहा कि ऐसा ही हो । तब अगले जन्म में राजा बलि की पुत्री पूतना राक्षसी बनी। जब कृष्ण भगवान का जन्म हुआ। और उन्हे गोकुल में नंद बाबा के घर रात को चोरी छिपे लाया गया । नंद बाबा के घर कृष्ण जन्म का उत्सव मनाया गया।आकाशवाणी के अनुसार कंस को कृष्ण भगवान से अपनी मृत्यु का भय था। इसलिए उसने कई असुरों को उन्हे मारने के लिए भेजा। परंतु वे कृष्ण भगवान का कुछ नही बिगाड़ सके। तब कंस ने पूतना  राक्षसी को कृष्ण भगवान को मारने के लिए भेजा। पूतना का काम छोटे छोटे बच्चो को जहर पिलाकर मारने का था। इसी तरह वो कृष्ण भगवान को मारना चाहती थी। वो एक सुंदर सी युवती बनकर अपने स्तनों में विष लगाकर नंद बाबा के घर आई। और यशोदा मैया से बोली कि वो एक सिद्ध ब्राह्मणी है और वो कान्हा जी को अपना दूध पिलाकर उन्हे आशीर्वाद देना चाहती है । उसने जैसे ही कृष्ण भगवान को अपना विष वाला दूध पिलाया तब भगवान ने विष के साथ साथ उसके प्राणों को भी हर लिया। कृष्ण भगवान ने पूतना राक्षसी को वही धाम दिया जो उन्होंने यशोदा मैया और देवकी मैया के लिए सोच रखा था।

तो भक्तों , इस कथा के अनुसार हमे यही सीखने को मिलता है कि हम भगवान को जैसे भाव से भजते है भगवान हमारे उसी भाव को ग्रहण करते है।

Then he measured the whole creation in the first and second step, then he asked King Bali what should he measure in his third step?. Then Vaman Dev ji placed the third step on his head as per the statement of King Bali. And in the third step, he measured King Bali. And made him the king of Hades. On this his daughter got very angry and thought came in her mind that if I had such a son, I would have killed him by drinking poison. Lord Vamana Dev ji also accepted this sentiment of his and said in his mind that it should be so. Then in the next birth, Putna, the daughter of King Bali, became a demonic. When Lord Krishna was born. And he was brought secretly at night to Nanda Baba's house in Gokul. Krishna's birth was celebrated at Nanda Baba's house. According to Akashvani, Kansa was afraid of his death from Lord Krishna. So he sent many asuras to kill him. But they could not harm Lord Krishna. Then Kansa sent the demon Putana to kill Lord Krishna. Putna's job was to kill small children by drinking poison. Similarly she wanted to kill Lord Krishna. She came to Nand Baba's house as a beautiful girl, putting poison in her breasts. And Yashoda said to Maiya that she is a perfect Brahmin and she wants to bless Kanha ji by drinking her milk. As soon as he made Lord Krishna drink milk containing his poison, the Lord took away the poison as well as his life. Lord Krishna gave the same place to the demon Putana, which he had thought for Yashoda Maiya and Devaki Maiya.

So devotees, according to this story, we get to learn that the way we worship God, God accepts our same feeling.

एक बार की बात है भगवान गणेश गंगा के तट पर बैठ कर भगवान शिव की तपस्या कर रहे थे। तभी अचानक वहां से तुलसी जी गुजर रही थी । गणेश भगवान ने पीले रंग के वस्त्र धारण किए हुए थे और गले में मोतियों की माला और माथे पर चंदन का तिलक लगाया  हुआ था। गणेश भगवान को इस रूप को देख कर तुलसी जी का मन भगवान गणेश पर मोहित हो गया। और तुलसी जी गणेश भगवान के पास गई और विवाह का प्रस्ताव रखा। तो गणेश भगवान जी स्वयं को ब्रह्मचारी बता कर विवाह के  प्रस्ताव को ठुकरा दिया। इस पर तुलसी जी बहुत क्रोधित हो गई और गणेश भगवान जी को श्राप दिया  कि उनके दो विवाह होगे तो इस बात पर गुस्सा होकर गणेश भगवान जी ने भी तुलसी जी को श्राप दिया कि उनका विवाह शंखाचूर असुर से होगा| गणेश जी के श्राप को सुन कर तुलसी जी को अपनी गलती का अहसास हुआ तो  उन्होंने गणेश जी से क्षमा मांगी। गणेश जी ने तुलसी जी को क्षमा कर दिया। और उन्हे आशीर्वाद दिया कि वे विष्णु भगवान की प्रिया हो जाए परंतु साथ में उन्होंने ये भी कहा कि तुम्हारा प्रयोग मेरी पूजा में कभी नहीं किया जाएगा।

Tulsi is considered a sacred plant in Hinduism. It works as a medicine. It is found in every house. Tulsi is used in worship but Tulsi is never used in worship of Lord Ganesha. In today's story we will know why Tulsi is not offered to Lord Ganesha.

Once upon a time Lord Ganesha was doing penance to Lord Shiva while sitting on the banks of the Ganges. Then suddenly Tulsi ji was passing from there. Lord Ganesha was dressed in yellow clothes and had a garland of pearls around his neck and a sandalwood tilak on his forehead. Seeing this form of Lord Ganesha, Tulsi ji's mind was fascinated by Lord Ganesha. And Tulsi ji went to Lord Ganesha and proposed marriage. So Lord Ganesha rejected the marriage proposal by calling himself a celibate. Tulsi ji became very angry on this and cursed Lord Ganesha that he would have two marriages, then angry on this, Lord Ganesha also cursed Tulsi ji that he would be married to Shankhachur Asura. Hearing the curse of Ganesh ji, Tulsi ji realized his mistake, then he apologized to Ganesh ji. Ganesh ji forgave Tulsi ji. And blessed him that he should become the beloved of Lord Vishnu, but together he also said that you will never be used in my worship.

तारकासुर नाम का एक शक्तिशाली राक्षस था । उसने सृष्टि में चारों ओर हाहाकार मचा रखा था। उसे ब्रह्मा जी से वरदान प्राप्त था कि उसकी मृत्यु शिव जी के पुत्र द्वारा होगी। शिव पार्वती के विवाह के पश्चात जब उनके पुत्र कार्तिक महाराज जी का जन्म हुआ। तब कार्तिक महाराज ने तारकासुर से युद्ध करके उसका वध कर दिया। सारे देवी देवताओं ने कार्तिक महाराज की जय जयकार की। तारकासुर के तीन पुत्र थे। तारकाक्ष, कमलाक्ष और विदुनमाली। तीनों पुत्रों ने मिलकर अपने पिता तारकासुर की मौत का बदला लेना चाहा । तीनों भाइयों ने मिलकर ब्रह्माजी की घोर तपस्या की। ब्रह्माजी ने उनकी तपस्या से प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें दर्शन दिए। और उनसे वरदान मांगने को कहा। उन तीनों ने अमर होने का वरदान मांगा।ब्रह्माजी ने कहा ये असंभव है इस सृष्टि में जिसने जन्म लिया है उसकी मृत्यु निश्चित हैं। इसलिए मैं तुम्हें ये वरदान नहीं दे सकता।कुछ और वरदान मांगो। इसके बाद तीनों भाईयों ने वरदान मांगा कि हमारी मृत्यु उस परिस्थिति में होनी चाहिए जब हम तीनों भाई एक साथ इक्कठे हो। और तीनों भाइयों ने अपने लिए अलग अलग भवनों के निर्माण की मांग की। तारकाक्ष ने अपने लिए स्वर्ण का, कमलाक्ष ने चांदी का और विदुनमाली ने लोहे के भवन की मांग की।ब्रह्माजी ने कहा तथास्तु। ऐसा ही हो। ये कहकर ब्रह्माजी अंतर्ध्यान हो गए। अब तीनों भाइयों ने सोचा कि अब से वे तीनों अलग अलग रहेंगे । ना ही हम तीनों इक्कठे होंगे और ना ही हमारी मृत्यु होंगी । तीनों भाइयों ने अलग अलग रहना शुरु कर दिया।तीनों भाईयों के अंदर से मृत्यु का डर खत्म हो गया था ।इसलिए तीनों भाई इंद्रादी सभी देवी देवताओं को परेशान करते थें। सभी देवता त्राहि त्राहि कर रहे थें। चारों ओर अधर्म फैल गया था।सभी देवता मिलकर शिव जी के पास गए। और अपनी समस्या को बताया। शिव जी ने कहा कि तुम सारे पशुओं का रूप धारण करों और मैं तुम सब का मालिक बनूंगा। सभी देवताओं ने ऐसा ही किया।  सभी देवी देवताओं ने पशुओं का रूप धारण कर तीनों लोकों में हड़कंप मचा दिया और तीनों भाइयों को अपने भवनों से बाहर निकाल कर एक जगह इक्कठा कर दिया। तब शिव जी ने नंदी का रूप धारण किया । शिव जी ने ताराकाक्ष  और विदुनमाली पर अपने सींगों से प्रहार किया। इतने में कमलाक्ष ने पीछे से आकर शिव जी के नंदी रूप के सिर पर प्रहार किया तब वो शीश कटकर नेपाल में जा गिरा। जहां पर शिव जी को पशुपतिनाथ के रूप में पूजा जाता है। और शिव के उस नंदी के रूप की जिसका शीश कट चुका था  केदारनाथ में पूजा की जाती है। तब  शिव ने क्रोध में आकर अपना असली रूप बनाया और तीनों भाइयों को अपने त्रिशूल से वध कर दिया।सब पशुओं का मालिक होने से भगवान शिव को पशुपतिनाथ कहा जानें लगा।  तीनों भाइयों के वध के बाद सभी देवता  वापिस अपने रूप में आ गए । और  शिव की चारों ओर जय जयकार होने लगी। देवी देवताओं ने फूलों की वर्षा की। गंधर्व गान करने लगे। अप्सराएं नृत्य करने लगी।प्रसन्न होकर सभी देवता अपने अपने लोक को चले गए।

तो भक्तों ये थी कथा भगवान शिव के पशुपतिनाथ रूप धारण करने की। जब भी इस सृष्टि पर संकट आता है भगवान भोले नाथ अपने भक्तों की रक्षा के लिए कोई भी रूप धारण कर लेते हैं।

How did Lord Shiva become Pashupatinath?

There was a mighty demon named Tarakasur. He had created an uproar all around in the universe. He had a boon from Brahma that he would die by the son of Shiva. After the marriage of Shiva Parvati, when his son Kartik Maharaj was born. Then Kartik Maharaj fought with Tarakasur and killed him. All the gods and goddesses hailed Kartik Maharaj. Tarakasur had three sons. Tarakaksha, Kamalaksha and Vidunmali. The three sons together wanted to avenge the death of their father Tarakasur. The three brothers together did severe penance for Brahmaji. Pleased with his penance, Brahmaji appeared to him. And asked him to ask for a boon. All three of them asked for the boon of being immortal. Brahmaji said that it is impossible, the one who has taken birth in this world is sure to die. That's why I cannot give you this boon. Ask for some more boon. After this, the three brothers asked for a boon that we should die in that situation when all three of us are together. And the three brothers demanded the construction of separate buildings for themselves. Tarakaksha asked for gold, Kamalaksha asked for silver, and Vidunmali asked for an iron building. Brahmaji said good. I hope so. Saying this Brahma ji became indignant. Now the three brothers thought that from now on all three of them would be separate. Neither the three of us will be together nor will we die. The three brothers started living separately. The fear of death was over from the inside of the three brothers. Therefore all the three brothers Indradi used to trouble all the deities. All the gods were wailing. Unrighteousness was spread all around. All the gods together went to Shiva. and told his problem. Shiva said that you take the form of all animals and I will be the master of all of you. All the gods did the same. All the gods and goddesses took the form of animals and created a stir in the three worlds and took the three brothers out of their buildings and gathered them at one place. Then Shiva took the form of Nandi. Shiva struck Tarakaksha and Vidunmali with his horns. In this, Kamalaksha came from behind and hit the head of Nandi form of Shiva, then he fell in Nepal after cutting his head. Where Shiva is worshiped as Pashupatinath. And that Nandi form of Shiva whose head was cut off is worshiped in Kedarnath. Then Shiva got angry and made his real form and killed the three brothers with his trident. Lord Shiva was known as Pashupatinath because of being the owner of all the animals. After the killing of the three brothers, all the gods returned in their form. And there was hailing of Shiva all around. The gods and goddesses showered flowers. Gandharvas started singing. Apsaras started dancing. All the gods went to their respective worlds after being pleased.

So devotees, this was the story of Lord Shiva taking the form of Pashupatinath. Whenever there is a crisis on this creation, Lord Bhole Nath takes any form to protect his devotees.
