एक गांव में एक बुढ़िया और उसका एक बेटा रहता था। उसने अपने बेटे की शादी बचपन में ही कर दी थी ।परंतु उसकी बहु अपने मायके में ही रहती थी ।कई वर्षों बाद जब उसका बेटा गोपाल बड़ा हो गया तो बुढ़िया ने सोचा कि अब इसकी बहू को मायके से बुला लेती हूं। वह अपने बेटे से बोली कि जा गोपाल बेटा ,अपनी बहू को उसके मायके से गौना करवा कर ले आओ। गोपाल अपनी मां की बात मानकर अपनी ससुराल चल पड़ा । रास्ते में वो एक जंगल से गुजरा।उसने देखा की एक पेड़ के नीचे बिखरे हुए पत्तो में आग लगी हुई है। उसी पेड़ की जड़ में एक बिल था। जिसमे से एक सांप कभी अपना फन बाहर निकाल रहा था कभी अंदर कर रहा था। वो बहुत डरा हुआ था और बाहर नहीं आ पा रहा था क्योंकि उसे डर था कि अगर वह बाहर जाएगा तो वह उस आग में जल जाएगा  । जब गोपाल उस पेड़ के पास से गुजरा तो सांप ने पीछे से आवाज लगाई और कहा कि मेरी मदद करो । मुझे इस आग से बचा लो । मुझे बाहर आना है । गोपाल पहले तो डर जाता है क्योंकि उसके मन में होता है कि कहीं सांप उसे काट ना ले । इसीलिए गोपाल बोलता है कि मैं तुम्हें एक ही शर्त पर बाहर निकालूंगा ।अगर तुम मुझे वादा करो कि तुम मुझे नहीं काटोगे। सांप कहता है – तुम कैसी बात कर रहे हो मैं तुम्हे क्यों काटूंगा ?  तुम तो मेरी मदद करोंगे। मैं तुम्हे नहीं काटूंगा । गोपाल अपनी लाठी की मदद से सांप को बाहर निकाल देता है और आग भी बुझा देता है । पर जैसे ही सांप बाहर आता है । वह गोपाल से कहता है कि अब मैं तुम्हें डस लूंगा । इस पर गोपाल कहता है कि तुमने मुझसे वादा किया था ? कि तुम मुझे नहीं मारोगे तो सांप हंसते हुए कहता हैं कि यह कलयुग है । यहां पर अच्छाई के बदले बुराई ही मिलती है । तो गोपाल को यह बात समझ नहीं आती और जैसे ही सांप गोपाल को डसने लगता है । गोपाल कहता है , रुको । पहले मुझे तुम अपनी कही हुई बात को सही साबित करके दिखाओ । तो  सांप और गोपाल जंगल में अन्दर की ओर निकल जाते हैं। रास्ते में उन्हें एक गाय दिखाई देती है तो गोपाल उस गाय से पूछता है कि क्या यही कलयुग का धर्म है ? यहां पर अच्छाई के बदले सिर्फ बुराई ही मिलती है । तो गाय सर हिलाते हुए कहती है बिल्कुल सही। तो गोपाल पूछता है कि कैसे ? गाय कहती हैं कि अब तुम मुझे ही देख लो ,मैं सबको दूध देती हूं ।और लोग मेरी पूजा भी करते हैं । लेकिन मेरे बूढ़े हो जाने के बाद लोग मुझे कसाई को दे देते हैं । गाय की यह बात सुनकर गोपाल को विश्वास नहीं होता । क्योंकि गाय बिल्कुल सच कह रही होती है । तो सांप कहता है कि तुमने देख लिया कि यहां पर अच्छाई के बदले सिर्फ बुराई ही मिलती है ।  गोपाल कहता है– रुको । जरा हमें किसी और से भी पूछना चाहिए । तो गोपाल अपने पास खड़े हुए पेड़ से पूछता है कि क्या कलयुग में भलाई का बदला बुराई से दिया जाता है ? पेड़ कहता है बिल्कुल सही।  मैं सबको फल देता हूं,लोगों को छाया देता हूं, लोग मेरी लकड़ी का इस्तेमाल भी करते हैं । लेकिन फिर भी लोग मुझे जला देते हैं । तब गोपाल हार मानते हुए कहता हैं कि ठीक है सांप तुम मुझे डस सकते हो । लेकिन मरने से पहले मेरी एक अंतिम इच्छा है मैंने शादी के बाद से अपनी पत्नी को नहीं देखा । क्योंकि हमारी शादी बचपन में ही हो गई थी। मैं उसे वापस लेने के लिए जा रहा था । अगर तुम्हारी इच्छा हो तो क्या मैं मरने से पहले एक बार अपनी बीवी को देख सकता हूं ? तो सांप ने कहा ठीक है । लेकिन तुम उससे कोई बात नहीं करोगे । सिर्फ उसे देख कर ही वापस आ जाओगे ।गोपाल हां कहते हुए अपने बीवी के गांव की ओर चल पड़ता है। अपनी ससुराल जाते ही गोपाल को उसकी पत्नी घर के बाहर झाड़ू लगाती हुई नजर आती है। गोपाल उसको एक झलक देखकर ही वापिस आने लगता है ।तभी उसकी पत्नी उसको देख लेती है और सोचती है कि ये तो मुझे लेने आए थे । तो ये मुझे बिना लिये कैसे जा सकते हैं ?और इनके चेहरे पर यह किस बात की परेशानी थी ? पत्नी सोचती है कि मुझे भी इनके पीछे-पीछे जाना चाहिए । और वह गोपाल का पीछा करने लगती है। जब गोपाल साँप के पास पहुंच जाता है । तो वह कहता है कि मैं मरने के लिए तैयार हूं। जैसे ही सांप गोपाल को डसने लगता है ।उसी समय उसकी पत्नी आकर बीच में खड़ी हो जाती है। अपनी पत्नी को देख कर के गोपाल को विश्वास नहीं होता और सांप कहता है कि गोपाल मैंने तुम्हें मना किया था कि अपनी पत्नी से कुछ मत कहना। पर तुम तो इसे अपने साथ ले आए । इस पर पत्नी बोलती है कि इन्होंने मुझसे कोई बात नहीं की । बल्कि मैं खुद ही इनके पीछे पीछे चली आई।  पत्नी पूछती है कि मेरे पति ने ऐसा क्या गुनाह किया है ? जो आप इन्हे  मारना चाहते हैं। तो गोपाल पूरी बात अपनी पत्नी को बताता है तो पत्नी थोड़ी देर के लिए सोचती है। और फिर बोलती है कि तुम ऐसा कैसे कर सकते हो ? यह मेरे  पति हैं और मैं इनके बिना नहीं रह सकती। अगर तुमने इन्हे ही मार दिया तो मैं अपना जीवन कैसे व्यतीत करूंगी ? इस पर सांप बोलता है कि वह सामने जो पेड़ देख रही हो जाकर उसके सात चक्कर लगाओ और सात चक्कर के बाद तुम मेरे बिल को खोदना, तुम्हें ढेर सारे हीरे और जवाहरात मिलेंगे। जिनके सहारे तुम अपना पूरी जिंदगी आराम से व्यतीत कर सकोगी। तो पत्नी पेड़ के पास जाती है और चक्कर लगाना शुरु कर देती हैं। छ: चक्कर लगाने के बाद जैसे ही पत्नी अपना सातवा चक्कर लगाने लगती है तो वो अपने पति के हाथ से लाठी लेकर सांप पर वार करती है। और साँप के शरीर से खून निकलने लगता है। सांप तड़पते हुए पूछता है कि मैंने तो तुम्हारा भला करना चाहा और तुमने मुझे ही मार डाला । ऐसा क्यों किया तुमने ? तो पत्नी बोली कि ये कलयुग है यहां अच्छाई के बदले सिर्फ बुराई ही मिलती है। साँप तड़पते हुए मर जाता है और गोपाल और उसकी पत्नी वापस घर आ जाते है।

In a village lived an old lady and her son. She had married her son in her childhood. But her daughter-in-law used to stay in her maternal home. After many years, when her son Gopal grew up, the old lady thought that now I will call her daughter-in-law from the maternal house. She said to her son that go Gopal son, get your daughter-in-law from her maternal home. Gopal obeyed his mother and went to his in-laws' house. On the way he passed through a forest. He saw that the leaves scattered under a tree were on fire. At the root of that tree was a bill. Out of which a snake was sometimes taking out its hood, sometimes it was doing it inside. He was very scared and was not able to come out because he was afraid that if he went out, he would get burnt in that fire. When Gopal passed by that tree, the snake made a sound from behind and said that help me. Save me from this fire I have to come out. Gopal gets scared at first because he has in his mind that the snake may not bite him. That's why Gopal says that I will kick you out on one condition. If you promise me that you will not bite me. The snake says - what are you talking about, why will I bite you? You will help me. I will not cut you Gopal takes out the snake with the help of his stick and also extinguishes the fire. But as soon as the snake comes out. He tells Gopal that now I will bite you. On this Gopal says that you promised me? If you do not kill me, the snake laughs and says that this is Kaliyuga. Here, instead of good, there is evil. So Gopal does not understand this and as soon as the snake starts biting Gopal. Gopal says wait. First of all, show me by proving what you have said right. So Snake and Gopal go inwards into the forest. When he sees a cow on the way, Gopal asks that cow, is this the religion of Kaliyuga? Here, instead of good, there is only evil. So the cow shakes her head and says absolutely right. So Gopal asks how? The cow says that now you only see me, I give milk to everyone. And people also worship me. But after I am old, people give me to the butcher. Gopal could not believe hearing this talk of the cow. Because the cow is telling the truth. So the snake says that you have seen that instead of good, only evil is found here. Gopal says- wait. We should ask someone else. So Gopal asks the tree standing beside him whether in Kaliyuga good is replaced by evil? The tree says absolutely right. I give fruits to everyone, I give shade to people, people also use my wood. But still people burn me. Then Gopal admits defeat and says that it is okay snake, you can bite me. But before I die I have one last wish I haven't seen my wife since marriage. Because we got married in childhood. I was going to take him back. If you wish, can I see my wife once before I die? So the snake said okay. But you won't talk to him. You will come back only after seeing her. Gopal says yes and walks towards his wife's village. On his way to his in-laws' house, Gopal is seen sweeping his wife outside the house. Gopal starts coming back only after seeing a glimpse of him. Then his wife sees him and thinks that he had come to get me. So how can they go without me? And what was the problem on their face? The wife thinks that I should also go after them. And she starts following Gopal. When Gopal reaches the snake. So he says I am ready to die. As soon as the snake starts biting Gopal. At the same time his wife comes and stands in the middle. Seeing his wife, Gopal does not believe and the snake says that Gopal, I told you not to say anything to your wife. But you brought it with you. On this the wife says that she did not talk to me. Rather, I myself went after them. Wife asks what crime has my husband committed? You want to kill them. So Gopal tells the whole thing to his wife, then the wife thinks for a while. And then she says how can you do that? This is my husband and I cannot live without him. If you kill them, how will I live my life? On this the snake says that he should go seven rounds of the tree which he is seeing in front and after seven rounds you dig my burrow, you will find a lot of diamonds and gems. With the help of which you will be able to live your whole life comfortably. So the wife goes to the tree and starts circling. After six rounds, as soon as the wife starts doing her seventh round, she takes a stick from her husband's hand and strikes the snake. And blood starts coming out of the snake's body. The snake asks in agony that I wanted to do good for you and you killed me. why did you do this? So the wife said that this is Kalyug, here instead of good, only evil is found. The snake dies in agony and Gopal and his wife return home.

Seven wife, and importance of Kartik Snan | सात बहू , और कार्तिक सनान का महत्व

 

एक समय की बात है ।एक बूढ़ा व्यक्ति था । उसके सात पुत्र थें । सातों पुत्रों का विवाह हो चुका था ।  सातों बहुओं में से सबसे बड़ी बहू एक नेक, दयालु और अच्छे स्वभाव की थी । किंतु छ: बहुएं लालची , घमंडी और कामचोर थी । एक समय कार्तिक मास आ रहा था । तो बूढ़े व्यक्ति ने अपनी सातों बहुओं से कहा कि मैं कार्तिक स्नान करना चाहता हूं । तो तुम सातों में से कौन मुझे कार्तिक का स्नान करवाएगी । तो सबसे बड़ी बहू बोली पिता जी मैं आपका कार्तिक स्नान करवाऊंगी । बाकी की बहुओं ने अपने ससुर को मना कर दिया कि हम से ये सब नही होगा। बूढ़ा व्यक्ति अगले दिन अपनी सबसे बड़ी बहू के घर कार्तिक स्नान करने के लिए गया । कार्तिक स्नान में ब्रह्म मुहूर्त में ही स्नान करना होता है। जैसे ही वह सुबह– सुबह स्नान करके बाहर आया, उसने अपनी  गीली धोती को रस्सी पर डाल दिया । उसकी गीली धोती की बूंदे जमीन पर गिरने लगी । वह पानी की बूंदे मोतियों में बदल गई ।यह देखकर बाकी छह बहुओं के मन में लालच जाग गया और उन्होंने कहा पिताजी अब आप हमारे घर पर ही कार्तिक स्नान करें । तो बूढ़े ने कहा कि मुझे क्या ,मुझे तो केवल स्नान करने से मतलब है । कल से तुम्हारे यहां स्नान कर लिया करूंगा। अगले दिन बूढ़ा व्यक्ति अपनी दूसरी बहू के पास गया और कार्तिक स्नान किया । स्नान करने के बाद जब उसने अपनी गीली धोती रस्सी पर डाली , तो उसकी धोती में से पानी की बूंदे जमीन पर गिरी और पानी की बूंदे कीचड़ में बदल गई । यह देख कर के बहू को बहुत गुस्सा आया और उसने बूढ़े व्यक्ति को अपने यहां कार्तिक स्नान करने से मना कर दिया। बूढ़ा व्यक्ति फिर से अपनी बड़ी बहू के यहां स्नान करने लग गया । फिर कुछ दिनों बाद कार्तिक स्नान बीत गया । फिर एक दिन बूढ़े के मन में विचार आया कि क्यों ना मैं सभी परिवार को कार्तिक स्नान के पूर्ण होने पर एक अनुष्ठान करूं और पूरे परिवार को भोजन खिलाऊं। तो बूढ़े व्यक्ति ने अपनी सबसे बड़ी बहू से कहा कि मैं पूरे परिवार को भोजन खिलाना  चाहता हूं । बहू ने कहा क्यों नहीं पिताजी जैसा आप कहें । बूढ़ा व्यक्ति भोजन का न्यौता देने के लिए बाकी छह बहुओं के पास गया । तो छह की छह बहुओं ने कहा कि जब हम सब भोजन करने आए तो सबसे बड़ी बहू वहां नहीं होनी चाहिए वरना हम नहीं आएंगे । उनकी इस बात को सुनकर बूढ़ा परेशान हो गया कि वह अपनी सबसे बड़ी बहू को यह बात कैसे बताएगा ?  वह वापस घर आ गया और बहू को सारी बात बताई । तो बडी बहू ने बड़े प्यार से कहा ,कोई बात नहीं पिताजी अगर वह सब मेरे साथ भोजन नहीं करना चाहते तो कोई बात नहीं ।मैं खेत पर चली जाऊंगी और जाने से पहले सबके लिए खाना बना के रख दूंगी । बहू बिल्कुल वैसा ही करती है जैसा उसने कहा होता है । अगले दिन वह अपने लिए चार रोटी बांधकर खेत की ओर निकल जाती है और वहां पर जाकर के पक्षियों को खाना खिलाती है । उसी समय उसकी छह बहुएं दावत के लिए पहुंच जाती हैं और खाना खाने के बाद बहुएं रसोई में जाकर बचे खाने में कंकड़ और पत्थर डाल देती हैं । ताकि सबसे बड़ी बहू खाना ना खा पाए और अपने घर वापिस आ जाती हैं ।  फिर जब बड़ी बहू वापस घर आती है और खाना खाने के लिए रसोई घर में जाती है, बर्तन का ढक्कन उठा कर देखती है । उसको देखने के बाद उसे अपनी आंखों पर विश्वास नहीं होता । क्योंकि कंकड़ और पत्थर हीरे और मोतियों में बदल चुके थे ।उसने देखा कि रसोई घर के सारे बर्तन हीरे और जेवरात से भर गए हैं । यह देखकर वह अपने ससुर को आवाज लगाती है। ससुर  रसोई घर में आता है और पहले तो सब कुछ देख कर वह थोड़ा चौंक जाता है । पर बाद में वह धीरे से मुस्कुराता है और कहता है कि यह तुम्हारे सच्चे मन से की गई तपस्या और तुम्हारे परिश्रम का फल है।

Seven Bahus, and importance of Kartik Sanan

Once upon a time there was an old man. He had seven sons. Seven sons were married. The eldest daughter-in-law among the seven daughters-in-law was noble, kind and good-natured. But the six daughters-in-law were greedy, arrogant and sleazy. Once, Kartik month was coming. So the old man told his seven daughters-in-law that I want to take a Kartik bath. So which of the seven of you will make me take Kartik's bath? So the eldest daughter-in-law said, Father, I will get you Kartik bath. The rest of the daughters-in-law refused their father-in-law that all this would not happen to us. The next day the old man went to his eldest daughter-in-law's house for Kartik's bath. In Kartik bath one has to take bath only in Brahma Muhurta. As soon as he came out after taking a bath early in the morning, he put his wet dhoti on the rope. Drops of his wet dhoti started falling on the ground. Those drops of water turned into pearls. Seeing this, greed awakened in the minds of the other six daughters-in-law and they said, Father, now you should take a Kartik bath at our house. So the old man said what to me, I mean only by taking a bath. I will take bath with you from tomorrow. The next day the old man went to his other daughter-in-law and took Kartik's bath. After bathing when she put her wet dhoti on the rope, drops of water from her dhoti fell on the ground and the water droplets turned into mud. Seeing this, the daughter-in-law got very angry and she refused to let the old man take a Kartik bath in her place. The old man again started taking bath at his elder daughter-in-law's place. Then after a few days Kartik bath passed. Then one day the thought came in the mind of the old man that why not do a ritual on the completion of Kartik Snan for all the family and feed the whole family. So the old man told his eldest daughter-in-law that I want to feed the whole family. The daughter-in-law said why not father as you say. The old man went to the other six daughters-in-law to invite him for food. So the six daughters-in-law of the six said that when we all came to have food, the eldest daughter-in-law should not be there or else we would not come. Hearing this, the old man got upset that how would he tell this to his eldest daughter-in-law? He came back home and told everything to the daughter-in-law. So the elder daughter-in-law said very lovingly, "It's okay, dad, if they all don't want to have food with me, then it doesn't matter. I will go to the farm and prepare food for everyone before leaving." The daughter-in-law does exactly as she is told. The next day she leaves for the field after tying four rotis for herself and goes there and feeds the birds. At the same time her six daughters-in-law arrive for the feast and after having dinner, the daughters-in-law go to the kitchen and put pebbles and stones in the remaining food. So that the eldest daughter-in-law is not able to eat food and comes back to her home. Then when the elder daughter-in-law comes back home and goes to the kitchen to eat, she lifts the lid of the pot and sees it. He couldn't believe his eyes after seeing him. Because the pebbles and stones had turned into diamonds and pearls. He saw that all the utensils in the kitchen were filled with diamonds and jewellery. Seeing this, she calls out to her father-in-law. Father-in-law comes to the kitchen and is a bit shocked to see everything at first. But later he smiles softly and says that this is the result of your sincere penance and hard work.

एक बहुत ही प्रसिद्ध और ज्ञानी मुनि थे । जिनका नाम था ऋषि अत्रि ।उनकी पत्नी बहुत ही सुंदर और पतिव्रता थी । जिसका नाम देवी अनुसूया था । दोनों पति पत्नी बहुत ही धर्मात्मा और भगवान की भक्ति करने वाले थे । देवी अनुसूया के  पतिव्रत धर्म की बहुत ही श्रेष्ठता थी । उनके पतिव्रता होने की बात दूर-दूर तक फैली हुई थी । एक दिन कैलाश पर्वत पर माता सरस्वती, माता लक्ष्मी और माता पार्वती आपस में अपने– अपने पतिव्रत धर्म को श्रेष्ठ बता रही थी । तीनों माताएं कह रही थी कि उन तीनों से ज्यादा कोई भी इस संसार में पतिव्रत धर्म का पालन नहीं कर सकती।  इतने में ही वहां पर नारद ऋषि आए । नारद ऋषि ने माताओं को हाथ जोड़कर प्रणाम किया । नारद ऋषि बोले माता यह बात सत्य है कि आप तीनों का पतिव्रत धर्म सर्वश्रेष्ठ है । परंतु ..........! पार्वती माता बोली परन्तु !  क्या देवऋषि नारद। आपने ये परन्तु शब्द क्यों लगाया । क्या कोई और भी है जिसका पति व्रत धर्म हम से भी ज्यादा श्रेष्ठ है ।नारद जी बोले माता पृथ्वी पर देवी अनुसूया के पतिव्रता धर्म की बहुत ही श्रेष्ठता है । ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और महेश त्रिदेव भी उनके पति व्रत धर्म की श्रेष्ठता को मानते हैं । तब देवी सरस्वती ने ब्रह्मा जी को ,देवी लक्ष्मी जी ने भगवान विष्णु को ,और माता पार्वती ने भोलेनाथ से देवी अनुसूया के पतिव्रत धर्म के बारे में बात की । तब तीनों देव ने यही बताया कि पृथ्वी पर अनुसूया का पतिव्रत धर्म सबसे श्रेष्ठ है । तब तीनो माताओं ने तीनों देवो से माता अनुसुइया की पतिव्रत धर्म की परीक्षा लेने के लिए कहा । तीनों देवताओं को माताओं के हट के आगे झुकना पड़ा । और ब्रह्मा ,विष्णु ,महेश तीनों देवता पृथ्वी पर देवी अनुसूया की परीक्षा लेने के लिए आ गए । ब्रह्मा विष्णु महेश ने ब्राह्मणों का रूप बनाया और ऋषि अत्रि के आश्रम में आए । उस समय ऋषि अत्रि आश्रम से बाहर गए हुए थे ।आश्रम में केवल देवी अनुसूया ही थी ।तब तीनो ब्राह्मणों ने माता अनुसुइया से भोजन के लिए आग्रह किया ।देवी अनुसूया ने तीनों ब्राह्मणों को हाथ जोड़कर प्रणाम किया ।और कहा कि हे ब्राह्मणों मैं आपकी किस प्रकार से सेवा कर सकती हूं । तब तीनों ब्राह्मणों ने देवी अनुसूया से भोजन के लिए आग्रह किया और कहा कि उन्हें बहुत भूख लग रही है । उन्होंने कई दिनों से कुछ नहीं खाया ।परंतु हमारी एक शर्त है अगर आप उस शर्त को माने तभी हम भोजन ग्रहण करेंगे । वरना हम आपके द्वार से भूखे ही लौट जाएंगे । तब देवी अनुसूया ने कहा कि हे ब्राह्मणों बताइए आपकी क्या शर्त है ? ब्राह्मणों ने कहा कि यदि आप हमें भोजन कराना चाहती हैं तो आपको अपनी मान , मर्यादा और लज्जा को त्याग कर हमें भोजन कराना होगा । अन्यथा हम भोजन नहीं करेंगे ।तो देवी अनुसूया ने कहा कि ब्राह्मणों आप यह क्या कह रहे हो ? मैं किसी परपुरुष के आगे कैसे अपनी मान मर्यादा को त्याग सकती हूं । मैं एक पतिव्रता नारी हूं । लेकिन ब्राह्मणों ने कहा कि – हम कुछ नहीं जानते । अगर आप हमें भोजन कराएं, तो इसी प्रकार कराएं वरना हम आपके द्वार से भूखे जा रहे हैं । अपने द्वार से भूखे ब्राह्मणों को भेजना बहुत बड़ा पाप होता है। तब तुम ही इस पाप का फल भोगोगी। तब देवी अनुसूया ने सोचा कि ये तो बहुत ही बड़ा धर्म संकट आ गया । देवी अनुसूया असमंजस में पड़ गई । उन्होंने अपने पति ऋषि अत्रि का ध्यान करते हुए जैसे ही आंखें बंद की तो उन्हें तीनों ब्राह्मणों में ब्रह्मा ,विष्णु और महेश का दर्शन हुआ । देवी अनुसूया ने जब आंखे खोली तो उनके चेहरे पर एक मंद मुस्कान थी ।क्योंकि वे जान गई थी कि यह तीनों ब्राह्मण ब्रह्मा ,विष्णु और महेश है जो उनकी परीक्षा लेने आए हैं । तब देवी अनुसूया ने कहा कि –ठीक है ब्राह्मण देवताओं , मैं आपको अपनी मान मर्यादा और लज्जा को त्याग कर ही भोजन कराऊंगी । आइए आप मेरी कुटिया में पधारिए । देवी अनुसूया ने तीनों ब्राह्मणों को बैठने के लिए आसन प्रदान किए और  कहा कि – यदि मैंने अपने पतिव्रत धर्म का निष्ठा से पालन किया है तो यह तीनों ब्राह्मण तीन छोटे– छोटे शिशु के रूप में बदल जाए । यह कहते ही तीनों ब्राह्मण तीन छोटे-छोटे शिशुओं में बदल गए और रोने लगे । तब देवी अनुसूया ने एक-एक करके तीनों शिशुओं को अपना दूध पिलाया और उनकी भूख को शांत किया । जब अत्रि ऋषि आए और उन्होंने आश्रम में बालकों के रोने का स्वर सुना तो उन्होंने पूछा कि देवी अनुसुइया यह तीन शिशु आश्रम में कौन है ? इन्हे कौन लाया है ? यह किसके बच्चे हैं ? तब देवी अनुसूया ने कहा कि ये हमारे पुत्र हैं ।और उन्होने ऋषि अत्रि को सारी बात बता दी । उधर कैलाश पर्वत पर माता सरस्वती ,माता लक्ष्मी और माता पार्वती ने देखा कि बहुत समय व्यतीत हो गया है । लेकिन तीनों देव अब तक माता अनुसूया के पतिव्रत धर्म की परीक्षा लेकर नहीं आए तो उन्हें बहुत ही चिंता होने लगी और वे तीनों ऋषि अत्रि के आश्रम में आ गई । वहां आकर उन्होंने देखा कि ब्रह्मा ,विष्णु और महेश वहां नहीं है ।तब उन्होंने देवी अनुसूया से पूछा कि तीनों देव कहां पर हैं ? तो देवी अनुसूया ने उन छोटे – छोटे बच्चों की ओर इशारा करके कहा कि यह तीनों बच्चे ब्रह्मा ,विष्णु और महेश है । तो तीनों देवियों को विश्वास नहीं हुआ और कहा कि यह कैसे हो सकता है ? जगत की रचना करने वाले , जगत का पालन करने वाले और जगत का संघार करने वाले ब्रह्मा ,विष्णु और महेश को ऐसा कौन है ?जिन्होंने इन्हें शिशु बना दिया ? ऐसी कौन सी शक्ति है जो इन त्रिदेव की शक्ति से भी बढ़कर हो गई है ? तब ऋषि अत्रि और माता अनुसूया ने उन्हें सारी बात बताई । तब माता सरस्वती, माता लक्ष्मी और माता पार्वती ने देवी अनुसूया के पतिव्रत धर्म की श्रेष्ठता को स्वीकार किया । और कहा कि हे देवी – अब आप अपनी शक्ति से तीनों शिशुओं को वापस इन के रूप में ला दीजिए , नहीं तो संसार की व्यवस्था नष्ट हो जाएगी । तब माता अनुसूया ने अपने पतिव्रत धर्म की शक्ति से तीनों शिशुओ को देवताओं के रूप में प्रकट कर दिया । तब ब्रह्मा ,विष्णु और महेश ने कहा क – हे देवी अनुसूय तुम्हारी जैसी पतिव्रत धर्म सबसे श्रेष्ठ है । तुम्हारे पतिव्रत धर्म की शक्ति ने ही हम तीनों देवताओं को शिशुओं के रूप में बदल दिया । तब माता अनुसूया ने कहा कि हे देवताओं मैं बहुत ही सौभाग्यशाली हूं कि मुझे तीनों देवताओं की माता होने का सुख प्राप्त हुआ है ।चाहे वह सुख थोड़े ही समय के लिए क्यों न था । तब ब्रह्मा ,विष्णु और महेश ने माता अनुसूया को आशीर्वाद दिया कि उनके घर दत्तात्रेय नाम का पुत्र पैदा होगा ।जो ब्रह्म देव,विष्णु देव और भगवान शंकर की शक्ति का ही स्वरूप होगा ।उसे भगवान विष्णु का ही अवतार माना जाएगा । यह सुनकर ऋषि अत्रि और माता अनुसूया बहुत ही प्रसन्न हुई । तब तीनों देवियां और तीनों देव वापस अपने अपने धाम को पहुंच गए ।

तो भक्तों, यह कथा माता अनुसूया के पतिव्रत धर्म की है । पतिव्रत धर्म में इतनी शक्ति होती है कि पतिव्रता नारी के सामने देवी देवताओं को भी झुकना पड़ता है ।

The power of woman made Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh all three small children.

He was a very famous and knowledgeable sage. Whose name was Rishi Atri. His wife was very beautiful and virtuous. Whose name was Devi Anusuya. Both husband and wife were very pious and devoted to God. Goddess Anusuya's pativrata religion had great excellence. The talk of his being virtuous was spread far and wide. One day, on Mount Kailash, Mata Saraswati, Mata Lakshmi and Mata Parvati were telling each other that their husband's religion was superior. All the three mothers were saying that no one can follow the religion of religion in this world more than the three of them. Just then Narada Rishi came there. Narada sage bowed to the mothers with folded hands. Narad Rishi said mother, it is true that the husband religion of all three of you is the best. but ..........! Mother Parvati said but! What is the god sage Narada? Why did you use this but word? Is there anyone else whose husband's fasting religion is more superior than us. Narad ji said that Goddess Anusuya's virtuous religion has great superiority on Mother Earth. Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh Tridev also recognize the superiority of her husband's fasting religion. Then Goddess Saraswati spoke to Brahma ji, Goddess Lakshmi ji to Lord Vishnu, and Mother Parvati spoke to Bholenath about the virtuous religion of Goddess Anusuya. Then all the three Gods told that Anusuya's pativrata religion is the best on earth. Then the three mothers asked all the three gods to take the test of Mother Anusuiya's virtuous religion. The three deities had to bow before the hut of the mothers. And the three gods Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh came to earth to test Goddess Anusuya. Brahma Vishnu Mahesh took the form of Brahmins and came to the hermitage of sage Atri. At that time sage Atri had gone out of the ashram. There was only Goddess Anusuya in the ashram. Then the three brahmins requested Mother Anusuya for food. How can I serve? Then the three brahmins requested Goddess Anusuya for food and said that she was feeling very hungry. They didn't eat anything for many days. But we have one condition if you follow that condition then we will take food. Otherwise we will come back hungry from your door. Then Goddess Anusuya said that oh brahmins, tell me what is your condition? The Brahmins said that if you want to feed us, then you have to give food to us by sacrificing your honor, dignity and shame. Otherwise we will not eat food. So Devi Anusuya said that Brahmins, what are you saying? How can I give up my honor and dignity in front of any other person? I am a chaste woman. But the brahmins said that we do not know anything. If you feed us, then do it this way, otherwise we are going hungry from your door. It is a great sin to send hungry brahmins through your door. Then only you will suffer the consequences of this sin. Then Goddess Anusuya thought that this was a big religious crisis. Goddess Anusuya got confused. As soon as she closed her eyes while meditating on her husband Rishi Atri, she saw Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh among the three brahmins. When Goddess Anusuya opened her eyes, she had a dim smile on her face. Because she had come to know that it was Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh who had come to test her. Then Goddess Anusuya said, "Okay Brahmin gods, I will give you food by sacrificing my dignity and shame. Come come to my hut. Goddess Anusuya provided seats for the three brahmins to sit on and said that - If I have followed my husband's dharma faithfully, then these three brahmins will turn into three small children. As soon as this was said, the three brahmins turned into three small babies and started crying. Then Goddess Anusuya fed her milk to the three babies one by one and quenched their hunger. When Atri Rishi came and heard the crying of the children in the ashram, he asked who is the goddess Anusuiya in these three infant ashrams? Who has brought them? Whose children are these? Then Goddess Anusuya said that these are our sons. And she told the whole thing to Sage Atri. On the other hand, on Mount Kailash, Mata Saraswati, Mata Lakshmi and Mata Parvati saw that a lot of time had passed. But the three gods had not yet brought the test of Mother Anusuya's virtuous religion, so they started worrying a lot and all three of them came to the ashram of sage Atri. Coming there, he saw that Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh were not there. Then he asked Goddess Anusuya where are the three gods? So Goddess Anusuya pointed to those small children and said that these three children are Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. So the three goddesses did not believe and said how can this happen? Who is the creator of the world, the maintainer of the world and the creator of the world, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh? Who made them babies? What is the power that has exceeded the power of these trinity? Then sage Atri and mother Anusuya told him the whole thing. Then Mata Saraswati, Mata Lakshmi and Mata Parvati accepted the superiority of Goddess Anusuya's pativrata religion. And said that O Goddess - now with your power, bring the three babies back in the form of these, otherwise the system of the world will be destroyed. Then Mother Anusuya took the power of her husband's religion.

From this, the three children were revealed as gods. Then Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh said that – O Goddess Anusuya, a pure religion like yours is the best. It is the power of your Pativrat Dharma that transformed all three of us into the form of babies. Then Mother Anusuya said that O Gods, I am very fortunate that I have got the pleasure of being the mother of all the three Gods. Even if that happiness was only for a short time. Then Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh blessed Mother Anusuya that a son named Dattatreya would be born in their house. Who would be the form of the power of Brahma Dev, Vishnu Dev and Lord Shankar. He would be considered as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Hearing this, sage Atri and mother Anusuya were very happy. Then the three goddesses and all the three gods went back to their respective abode.

So devotees, this story is about the husbandry religion of Mother Anusuya. There is so much power in the virtuous religion that even the gods and goddesses have to bow down in front of the virtuous woman.
