हिंदू धर्म में मार्गशीर्ष महीने के कृष्ण पक्ष की एकादशी का बहुत महत्व है । इसे उत्पन्ना एकादशी भी कहा जाता है ।

कथा के अनुसार – 

सतयुग में मुर नाम का एक दैत्य था । वह बहुत ही भयानक और बलवान था । उसने इंद्र, वसु ,आदित्य ,वरुण ,अग्नि आदि सभी देवताओं को पराजित कर दिया था और उनके स्वर्ग लोक पर अपना आधिपत्य कर लिया था । सभी देवता डर के कारण भगवान शिव के पास गए और उन्हें सारा वृत्तांत सुनाया । तब भगवान शिव बोले कि – हे देवताआें !  तुम तीनों लोकों के स्वामी और भक्तों के दुख का नाश करने वाले भगवान विष्णु की शरण में जाओ । वे ही तुम्हारे दुखों को दूर करेंगे । इसके पश्चात सभी देवता क्षीर सागर में गए और कहा कि हे नारायण ! आप हमारी रक्षा करें । हमें दैत्यों ने पराजित करके स्वर्ग से भगा दिया है । कृपया हमारी रक्षा करें । हम सब आप की शरण में है । तब विष्णु भगवान बोले कि – हे देवताओं , ऐसा कौन सा मायावी असुर है जिसने तुम सभी देवताओं को पराजित कर दिया है । उसे किस का आश्रय है , वह कितना बलवान है । तब इंद्र देव बोले कि –  हे भगवन , प्राचीन काल में एक नाड़ीजंघ नाम का राक्षस था । उसका एक महापराक्रमी मुर नाम का एक पुत्र उत्पन्न हुआ । उसकी चंद्रावती नाम की नगरी है। उसी दैत्य ने हम सब देवताओं को परास्त करके स्वर्ग से निकाल दिया है । उसने अग्नि , वरुण ,यम  , कुबेर , आदित्य आदि सभी देवताओं के स्थान पर अपना आधिपत्य कर लिया है । स्वयं सूर्य बनकर प्रकाश देता है । स्वयं ही मेघ बन गया है और सबसे अजेय है । हे असुर निकंदन ! उस दुष्ट को मारकर हमारी रक्षा कीजिए ।

यह सब सुनकर विष्णु जी बोले कि –  हे देवताओं ! मैं शीघ्र ही उसका विनाश करूंगा । तुम चंद्रावती नगरी जाओ । इस प्रकार कहकर भगवान सहित सभी देवताओं ने चंद्रावती नगरी की ओर प्रस्थान किया। उस समय दैत्य मुर सेना सहित युद्ध भूमि में गरज रहा था । जब विष्णु भगवान युद्ध भूमि में आए , तो सारे दैत्य उन पर अस्त्र और शस्त्र लेकर दौड़े । लेकिन विष्णु भगवान ने अपने सर्प जैसे बाणों से उन दैत्यों को बींध दिया । सारे दैत्य मारे गए । केवल मुर बच गया था । वह अविचल भाव से भगवान के साथ युद्ध करता रहा । भगवान जो भी तीक्ष्ण बाण चलाते , वह उसके लिए पुष्प सिद्ध होते ।  उसका शरीर छिन्न-भिन्न हो गया था , लेकिन वह तब भी युद्ध करता रहा । भगवान ने उससे 10,000 वर्षों तक मल युद्ध किया । लेकिन मुर नहीं मारा गया । भगवान थक्कर बद्रिकाश्रम चले गए । वहां हेमवती नामक सुंदर गुफा थी । भगवान विश्राम करने के लिए उस गुफा के अंदर चले गए । वह गुफा 12 योजन लंबी थी और उसका एक ही द्वार था । विष्णु भगवान योगनिद्रा की गोद में सो गए । मुर भी उनके पीछे पीछे आ गया और उन्हें सोया देखकर उन्हें मारने को उद्धत हो गया । तभी भगवान के शरीर से उज्जवल कांति वाली एक देवी प्रकट हुई । देवी ने राक्षस मुर को ललकारा । उससे युद्ध किया और उसे तत्काल मौत के घाट उतार दिया । श्रीहरि जब योग निद्रा से उठे , तो सारी बात जानकर उन देवी से कहा कि –  तुम्हारा जन्म एकादशी के दिन हुआ है । अतः आप उत्पन्ना एकादशी के नाम से पूजित होंगी । आपके भक्त वही होंगे जो मेरे भक्त हैं ।

Ekadashi of the Krishna Paksha of the month of Margashirsha is very important in Hinduism. It is also called Utpanna Ekadashi.

According to legend –

In Satyuga there was a demon named Mur. He was terrible and strong. He had defeated all the gods like Indra, Vasu, Aditya, Varun, Agni etc. and had taken possession of their heaven. All the deities went to Lord Shiva out of fear and narrated the whole story to him. Then Lord Shiva said – O Gods! You go to the shelter of Lord Vishnu, the lord of the three worlds and the destroyer of the sorrows of the devotees. He alone will remove your sorrows. After this all the deities went to Ksheer Sagar and said O Narayan! you protect us The demons have defeated us and chased us away from heaven. please protect us We all are in your shelter. Then Lord Vishnu said – Oh Gods, what is this elusive Asura who has defeated all you Gods. Whose shelter does he have, how strong is he? Then Indra Dev said that - Oh God, in ancient times there was a demon named Nadijangha. A son named Mur was born to him. He has a city named Chandravati. The same demon has defeated all the gods and thrown us out of heaven. He has occupied the place of all the deities like Agni, Varuna, Yama, Kubera, Aditya etc. He himself gives light by becoming the Sun. He himself has become a cloud and is most invincible. O Asura Nikandan! Protect us by killing that evil.

Hearing all this, Vishnu ji said - O Gods! I will destroy him soon. You go to Chandravati city. Saying thus, all the deities including the Lord left for the city of Chandravati. At that time, the demon Mur was roaring in the battlefield along with the army. When Lord Vishnu came to the battlefield, all the demons ran on him with weapons and arms. But Lord Vishnu pierced those demons with his snake-like arrows. All the demons were killed. Only Mur was saved. He continued to fight with the Lord without any hesitation. Whatever sharp arrow God shot, it proved to be a flower for him. His body was dismembered, but he still continued to fight. God fought with him for 10,000 years. But Mur was not killed. Lord Thakkar went to Badrikashram. There was a beautiful cave named Hemvati. The Lord went inside that cave to take rest. That cave was 12 yojanas long and had only one door. Vishnu fell asleep in the lap of Lord Yoganidra. Mur also followed them and seeing them sleeping, got ready to kill them. Only then a goddess with bright radiance appeared from the body of the Lord. The goddess challenged the demon Mur. fought with him and killed him immediately. When Shri Hari woke up from Yog Nidra, after knowing the whole thing he said to that goddess – You were born on the day of Ekadashi. That's why you will be worshiped in the name of Utpanna Ekadashi. Your devotees will be those who are my devotees.

कृष्ण भक्त मीरा की सच्ची घटना | जब मीरा का सारा शरीर मूर्ति में समा गया

 

एक बार इंग्लैंड के एक ब्रिटिश शासक ने भारत में उस समय के बादशाह अकबर को पत्र लिखा ।  उन्होंने पत्र में बादशाह अकबर से एक प्रशन किया था कि –  आपके भारत में सबसे सुंदर रूप किसका है ? यह पत्र पढ़कर अकबर सोच में पड़ गए । तभी उनके पास तानसेन बैठे थे । उन्होंने तानसेन से पूछा –  तानसेन , क्या तुम्हें पता है कि भारत में सबसे सुंदर रूप किसका है । तब तानसेन ने कहा कि हमारे भारत में तो सबसे सुंदर रूप गोकुल के ग्वाले का है । अकबर ने पूछा – यह गोकुल का ग्वाला कौन है ? तब तानसेन ने कहा कि वे स्वयं श्री कृष्ण परमात्मा है । अकबर ने पत्र में "श्री कृष्ण " का नाम लिखकर इंग्लैंड के ब्रिटिश शासक को इसका जवाब भेज दिया । समय बीतता गया । कुछ दिनों बाद अकबर ने तानसेन से पूछा कि तानसेन तुमने कहा था , कि भगवान का रूप सबसे प्यारा है । सारी दुनिया उन्हें प्यार करती है । परंतु क्या कोई ऐसा व्यक्ति है जिसे भगवान बहुत प्यार करते हो । तब तानसेन  ने कहा कि – भारत में तो ऐसे बहुत से ऐसे व्यक्ति हैं , जिससे भगवान बहुत प्यार करते हैं । तब अकबर ने कहा कि मुझे भी उनके दर्शन करने हैं । मैं भी देखना चाहता हूं कि उन भक्तों का कैसा रूप है , जो स्वयं परमात्मा उनसे प्यार करते हैं । तानसेन ने कहा – मैं आपको उन के दर्शन अवश्य करवाऊंगा । पर बादशाह आपको उसके लिए अपने रूप को बदलना होगा ।  अकबर अपने स्वरूप को बदलने के लिए तैयार हो गया । तानसेन और अकबर रूप बदलकर दिल्ली से चित्तौड़ पहुंचे ।  चित्तौड़ पहुंच कर उन्होंने लोगों से पूछा कि – मीरा बाई का घर कहां पर है ? तब लोगों ने दिखाया कि वह जो दूर एक महल दिखाई दे रहा है । वह मीराबाई का महल है । उसमें मीराबाई रहती है । दोनों जब महल के द्वार पर पहुंचे और महल में प्रवेश करने लगे । तभी द्वार पर खड़े सैनिकों ने उन्हें रोक लिया और कहा कि अरे ! तुम अंदर कहां जा रहे हो ? तब दोनों बोले कि – हम बड़ी दूर से आए हैं । हमें कृष्ण भक्त मीरा बाई से मिलना है । हम उनके दर्शन करना चाहते हैं । तब सैनिकों ने कहा – अरे , मीरा बाई यहां नहीं रहती । वे तो सारा दिन गिरिधर गोपाल के मंदिर में रहती हैं । अगर तुम्हें उन के दर्शन करने हैं तो तुम्हें गिरिधर गोपाल जी के मंदिर में जाना होगा । सिपाही की ये बात सुनकर तानसेन और अकबर गिरिधर गोपाल जी के मंदिर के लिए रवाना हो गए । जैसे ही वे मंदिर में प्रवेश करने जा रहे थे । उन्होंने देखा कि गिरधर गोपाल की मूर्ति के पास एक स्त्री बैठी है । उसकी आंखों में आंसू है । उसकी इस विरह व्यथा को देखकर अकबर दंग रह गया । और सोचने लगा कि – एक साधारण सी स्त्री के मुख पर इतना तेज कैसे हो सकता है ?   तभी मीरा ने देखा कि – दो भक्तजन मंदिर में आए हैं । मीरा ने पूछा आप कौन हो ? तब वे बोले कि – हमने आपकी बहुत प्रसिद्धि सुनी है । इसलिए हम बहुत दूर से आपके दर्शन करने आए हैं। मीरा ने कहा कि मुझ जैसी तुच्छ भक्त के दर्शन करने से क्या होगा ? दर्शन करने हैं , तो श्री कृष्ण भगवान के कीजिए ।  मीरा ने उनका आदर सत्कार किया । अकबर तो चुपचाप थे , परंतु तानसेन बोले कि – मुझे भजन गाना आता है । क्या ? मैं आपके गिरधर गोपाल के लिए एक भजन सुना सकता हूं । मीरा ने कहा – अवश्य , तब तानसेन ने एक बहुत ही सुंदर प्यारा सा भजन गाया । जिसे सुनकर मीरा का दिल खुश हो गया । वे दोनों वहां से चलने लगे , तो मीरा ने कहा अभी थोड़ी देर और बैठकर विश्राम कीजिए , आप बहुत दूर से आए हैं । तब तानसेन ने कहा कि – नहीं , अभी हमें चलना है । हम दोबारा फिर आपके गिरधर गोपाल के दर्शन करने आएंगे  । जाते हुए अकबर के मन में आया कि वह अपने मूल्यवान मणिकों की माला कृष्ण भगवान के चरणों में अर्पित करके जाए । जब वे ऐसा करने लगे तो मीरा ने कहा – अरे ! इन्हें इनकी कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है । मेरे भगवान तो भाव के भूखे हैं  । परंतु अकबर ने कहा कि – मैं अपनी श्रद्धा भाव से इस माला को उनके चरणों में अर्पित करना चाहता हूं । मीरा ने कहा – ठीक है , जैसी आपकी इच्छा । अकबर ने माला को श्री कृष्ण भगवान के चरणों में चढ़ा दिया और वहां से चले गए । मीरा ने जब मंदिर की साफ-सफाई की , तो उसने उस माला को श्री कृष्ण भगवान के हाथों पर चढ़ा दिया । भगवान के मंदिर में कुछ लोग दर्शन करने आए । तो उन्होंने भगवान के हाथ पर उस मूल्यवान माला को देखा । यह बात धीरे-धीरे सारे गांव में फैल गई । सब लोग उस मणिको की माला को देखने आए । मीरा की ननंद उदा बाई भी इस बात को सुनकर उस माला को देखने आई । तो उसने सोचा कि इतनी कीमती माला तो किसी राजा या सम्राट की हो सकती है । हो सकता है कोई राजा यहां पर आया हो और मेरी भाभी का उसके साथ कोई गलत संबंध हो । उसने यह बात जाकर अपने भाई राणा विक्रम को बताई । राणा विक्रम तो पहले से ही मीरा से द्वेष भाव रखता था । उसने अपनी बहन से कहा कि – मैं मंदिर में जाकर देखता हूं कि वह माला किस राजा ने चढ़ाई है । और वह उन मणिको की माला को देखने के लिए मंदिर में आ गया । उसने गिरधर गोपाल की मूर्ति के पास जैसे ही माला को खींचने का प्रयास किया  । तो वह माला स्वयं ही टूट कर मीरा के चरणों में आ गिरी । वह भगवान के इस चमत्कार को नहीं समझा था । वह उस माला को लेकर अपने महल में आ गया और उसके मोतियों को ध्यान से देखने लगा । उस माला के हर मोती पर अकबर का नाम लिखा हुआ था । तब राणा विक्रम ने सोचा कि –  मेरी पत्नी मीरा हमारे दुश्मनों से मिल गई है । यह सोचकर उसे बहुत ही गुस्सा आ गया । उसने सोचा कि मैं अब मीरा को मार दूंगा या फिर यहां से भगा दूंगा । उसने पहले भी मीरा बाई को मारने के लिए कई प्रयास किए थे । एक बार उसने एक टोकरी में विषधर सांप को भेजा था और कहा था कि मीरा से कहना कि इसमें शालिग्राम है । पर जैसे ही मीरा ने उस टोकरी  को खोला तो सचमुच उसमे से शालिग्राम जी निकले । एक बार उसने मीरा  को विष का प्याला पिलाया था और वह अमृत बन गया । इसलिए वह जानता था कि मीरा को मारने का उसका प्रयास हर बार असफल हो जाता है । तब उसने सोचा कि–  मुझे लगता है , कि वह जो कृष्ण की मूर्ति है वही मीरा की शक्ति है । क्यों ना मैं उस कृष्ण की मूर्ति को ही नदी में फेंक दूं । मूर्ति को नदी में फेंका देख मीरा खुद ही नदी में कूद जाएगी और मर जाएगी । यह सोचकर वह पुनः गिरधर गोपाल के मंदिर में आया । उसने मूर्ति को अपने सैनिकों के द्वारा वहां से उठाया और मूर्ति उठवा कर चित्तौड़ के तालाब में फेंक दी।  तालाब में मूर्ति को फेंकी देख मीरा ने भी उस तालाब में छलांग लगा दी । मीरा के छलांग लगाते ही वह मूर्ति मीरा के हाथ में आ गई । कहते हैं मीरा कूदी तो चित्तौड़ के तालाब में थी , परंतु जब वह मूर्ति को लेकर निकली तो वह वृंदावन में यमुना जी का घाट था । जहां श्री कृष्ण भगवान का निवास था। मीरा समझ गई कि यह सब भगवान का ही चमत्कार है और वह वृंदावन में रहकर ही कृष्ण जी की भक्ति में लीन हो गई । जब राणा विक्रम को यह बात पता चली तो उसने मीरा को चित्तौड़ में लाने के बहुत ही प्रयास किए । क्योंकि वह नहीं चाहता था कि लोग उसके बारे में कुछ अपशब्द कहे कि राणा सांगा की पुत्रवधू वृंदावन में संतों के साथ रहती है । राणा विक्रम चाहता था कि मीरा को दोबारा महल में लाकर उसे दुख भरी यातनाएं दी जाए । वह मीरा को लेने वृंदावन में गया और इस बार उसका यह प्रयास सफल हो गया । वह किसी तरह मीरा को समझा-बुझाकर वापस चित्तौड़ में ले आया और महल में ला कर मीरा को बहुत ही परेशान करने लगा । जब मीरा बहुत ही परेशान हो गई , तो उसने भक्त तुलसीदास जी को एक पत्र लिखा । उसमें लिखा था कि यहां पर मेरी भक्ति में बहुत ही विघ्न आ रहे हैं । आप कृपया मुझे बताइए कि – मैं क्या करूं ?  जिससे मेरी भक्ति सफल हो जाए । तब तुलसीदास जी ने कहा कि – जिसे भगवत नाम से प्रेम नहीं है , ऐसे सगे संबंधियों का त्याग ही कर देना चाहिए । श्री तुलसीदास जी की बात मानकर मीरा अब द्वारिका आ गई थी । जैसे ही मीरा ने चित्तौड़ का त्याग किया , तब से चित्तौड़ पर मुसीबतों का पहाड़ टूट पड़ा । अब आए दिन मुगलों का चित्तोड़ पर हमला होता रहता था । कईयों के सुहाग उजड़ गए , कई लोग मारे गए । तब चित्तौड़ की जनता ने राणा विक्रम से आकर प्रार्थना की । और कहा आपने एक मीराबाई जैसे सच्चे भक्त को दुख पहुंचाया है। इसी कारण चित्तौड़ पर मुसीबत आई है ।  इसीलिए आप मीरा जी को मनाकर वापस चित्तौड़ लेकर आइए । नहीं तो,  हमारा चित्तौड़ बर्बाद हो जाएगा । तब राणा विक्रम लोगों की बात को मानकर कुछ विद्वान ब्राह्मणों को द्वारिका भेजा और कहा कि मीरा को मना कर लेकर आओ । जब  ब्राह्मण द्वारिका गए और मीरा को वापस चित्तौड़ आने के लिए कहा , तो मीरा ने मना कर दिया। और कहा कि अब यही मेरा निवास स्थान है । तो ब्राह्मणों ने कहा कि – ठीक है , जब तक आप हमारे साथ नहीं चलेंगी , तब तक ना तो हम भोजन ग्रहण करेंगे और ना ही पानी पिएंगे । मीरा ब्राह्मणों की इस बात को सुनकर परेशान हो गई और कहने लगी ठीक है , ब्राह्मण देव ! आप अन्न और जल मत त्यागिए । मैं अपने भगवान से पूछ कर आती हूं । वे जैसी आज्ञा देंगे , मैं वैसा ही करूंगी । मीरा रोते हुए भगवान श्री कृष्ण की मूर्ति के पास गई और कहने लगी कि – हे कान्हा ! आप मुझे फिर से बंधन में क्यों डालना चाहते हैं । क्या आप नहीं चाहते ? कि मैं आपके साथ रहूं । मैं तो आप की मूर्ति में ही समा जाना चाहती हूं । मैं यहां से नहीं जाना चाहती । आप मुझ पर इतनी सी कृपा कीजिए कि मेरा यह शरीर आपके चरणों में ही समर्पित हो जाए । और इस प्रकार कह कर रोने लगी । कहते है कि मीरा के हृदय की सच्ची पुकार सुनकर कृष्ण भगवान ने अपनी मूर्ति में ही सह शरीर मीरा को समा लिया था ।   जब मीरा का सारा शरीर मूर्ति में समा गया था,  तो भगवान की मूर्ति से एक चुनरी निकलने लगी । जब उन ब्राह्मणों  ने देखा कि भगवान के मूर्ति से एक चुनरी निकल रही है । परंतु भक्त मीरा गायब है । वह कहां गई ? तब भगवान की मूर्ति में से एक आवाज आई । कि भक्त मीरा मेरे अंदर समा गई है । अब वह चित्तौड़ नहीं जाएगी । तुम यह चुनरी का टुकड़ा चित्तौड़ ले जाओ । इससे ही वहां के सारे उपद्रव शांत हो जाएंगे । कहते हैं जैसे ही वे ब्राह्मण उस चुनरी के टुकड़े को चित्तौड़ में लाए , वहां के सारे व्यक्तियों के दुख अपने आप समाप्त हो गए । जब तानसेन ने बादशाह अकबर को मीरा के मूर्ति में समावेश की बात सुनाई , तो अकबर भी हैरान हो गया था । उसने भक्त मीराबाई को मन ही मन में प्रणाम किया। 

 तो भक्तों , जो सच्चे भक्त होते हैं परमात्मा भी उनसे दूर नहीं रह पाते और उन्हें स्वयं दर्शन देते हैं ।

Once a British ruler of England wrote a letter to the then emperor Akbar in India. He had asked a question to Emperor Akbar in the letter that – Whose most beautiful form is there in your India? Akbar got thinking after reading this letter. That's why Tansen was sitting near him. He asked Tansen - Tansen, do you know who has the most beautiful form in India. Then Tansen said that the most beautiful form in our India is that of Gokul's cowherd. Akbar asked - who is this cowherd of Gokul? Then Tansen said that he himself is Lord Krishna. Akbar wrote the name of "Shri Krishna" in the letter and sent a reply to the British ruler of England. Time passed by . After a few days, Akbar asked Tansen that Tansen you had said that God's form is the most lovely. The whole world loves him. But is there any person whom God loves very much. Then Tansen said that - There are many such people in India, whom God loves a lot. Then Akbar said that I also want to see him. I also want to see what is the form of those devotees who are loved by God himself. Tansen said - I will definitely make you see him. But Badshah you have to change your appearance for that. Akbar agreed to change his appearance. Tansen and Akbar reached Chittor from Delhi by changing their forms. After reaching Chittor, he asked the people - Where is Meera Bai's house? Then the people showed that they could see a palace in the distance. That is Mirabai's palace. Mirabai lives in it. When both reached the gate of the palace and started entering the palace. Only then the soldiers standing at the door stopped them and said hey! where are you going in Then both of them said that - we have come from a long distance. We have to meet Meera Bai, a devotee of Krishna. We want to see him. Then the soldiers said - Hey, Meera Bai does not live here. She stays in the temple of Giridhar Gopal the whole day. If you want to see him, then you have to go to the temple of Giridhar Gopal ji. After hearing these words of the soldier, Tansen and Akbar left for the temple of Giridhar Gopal ji. As he was about to enter the temple. He saw a woman sitting near the idol of Girdhar Gopal. He has tears in his eyes. Akbar was stunned to see this pain of his separation. And started thinking that - how can there be so much anger on the face of an ordinary woman? Only then Meera saw that - two devotees have come to the temple. Meera asked who are you? Then they said – we have heard of your great fame. That's why we have come from far away to visit you. Meera said that what will happen if you see a lowly devotee like me? If you want to have darshan, then do it of Lord Krishna. Meera felicitated him. Akbar was silent, but Tansen said that - I know how to sing hymns. What ? I can recite a hymn for your Girdhar Gopal. Meera said - Of course, then Tansen sang a very beautiful bhajan. Meera's heart became happy after hearing that. When both of them started walking from there, Meera said, now sit and rest for a while, you have come from far away. Then Tansen said - No, we have to go now. We will come again and again to visit your Girdhar Gopal. While leaving, it occurred to Akbar that he should offer his garland of valuable pearls at the feet of Lord Krishna. When they started doing this, Meera said - Hey! He doesn't need them. My God is hungry for feelings. But Akbar said that - I want to offer this garland at his feet with my devotion. Meera said - ok, as you wish. Akbar offered the garland at the feet of Lord Krishna and left. When Meera cleaned the temple, she offered that garland on the hands of Lord Krishna. Some people came to visit the temple of God. So he saw that precious garland on the hand of the Lord. This thing gradually spread in the whole village. Everyone came to see that garland of beads. Meera's sister-in-law Uda Bai also came to see that garland after hearing this. So he thought that such a precious garland could belong to some king or emperor. Maybe some king has come here and my sister-in-law has some wrong relation with him. He went and told this to his brother Rana Vikram. Rana Vikram already had a grudge against Meera. He told his sister that - I will go to the temple and see which king has offered that garland. And he came to the temple to see the garland of those beads. He tried to pull the garland as soon as he came near the idol of Girdhar Gopal. So that garland itself broke and fell at Meera's feet. He did not understand this miracle of God. He came to his palace with that garland and started looking at its pearls carefully. Akbar's name was written on every pearl of that garland. Then Rana Vikram thought that – My wife Meera has joined our enemies. Thinking of this, he got very angry. He thought that now I will kill Meera or make her run away from here. He had made several attempts earlier also to kill Meera Bai. Once he sent a poisonous snake in a basket and told Meera to tell that it contained Shaligram. But as soon as Meera opened that basket, Shaligram really came out of it. Once he had given Meera a cup of poison and it became nectar. That's why he knew that his attempt to kill Meera fails every time. then he Thought that- I think, that the idol of Krishna is the power of Meera. Why don't I throw that Krishna idol in the river itself. Seeing the idol thrown into the river, Meera herself would jump into the river and die. Thinking of this, he again came to Girdhar Gopal's temple. He picked up the idol from there by his soldiers and got the idol lifted and threw it in Chittor's pond. Seeing the idol thrown into the pond, Meera also jumped into that pond. As soon as Meera jumped, that idol came in Meera's hands. It is said that Meera jumped into the pond of Chittor, but when she came out with the idol, it was Yamuna ji's ghat in Vrindavan. Where Lord Krishna resided. Meera understood that all this is a miracle of God and she got engrossed in the devotion of Krishna ji only after staying in Vrindavan. When Rana Vikram came to know about this, he made many efforts to bring Meera to Chittor. Because he did not want people to say bad words about him that the daughter-in-law of Rana Sanga lives with the saints in Vrindavan. Rana Vikram wanted Meera to be brought back to the palace and given painful tortures. He went to Vrindavan to pick up Meera and this time his attempt was successful. He somehow brought Meera back to Chittor by persuading her and started harassing Meera a lot by bringing her to the palace. When Meera became very upset, she wrote a letter to the devotee Tulsidas ji. It was written in it that there are many obstacles in my devotion here. Please tell me – what should I do? So that my devotion becomes successful. Then Tulsidas ji said that - Those who do not love the name of Bhagwat, such relatives should be abandoned. Meera had now come to Dwarka after listening to Shri Tulsidas ji. As soon as Meera abandoned Chittor, a mountain of troubles broke out on Chittor. Now-a-days the Mughals used to attack Chittor. The happiness of many was destroyed, many people were killed. Then the people of Chittor came and prayed to Rana Vikram. And said that you have hurt a true devotee like Meerabai. This is the reason why trouble has come on Chittor. That's why you persuade Meera ji and bring her back to Chittor. Otherwise, our Chittor will be ruined. Then Rana Vikram sent some learned brahmins to Dwarka after obeying the people and told them to bring Meera after persuasion. When the brahmin went to Dwarka and asked Meera to come back to Chittor, Meera refused. And said that now this is my residence. So the brahmins said - ok, till you don't go with us, neither we will take food nor drink water. Meera got upset after hearing this talk of Brahmins and started saying it's okay, Brahmin Dev! Don't give up food and water. I come after asking my God. I will do as they command. Meera went to the idol of Lord Shri Krishna crying and said - O Kanha! Why do you want to bind me again. don't you want that I should be with you I want to merge in your idol only. I don't want to leave here. You bless me so much that this body of mine is surrendered at your feet only. And saying this she started crying. It is said that after listening to the true cry of Meera's heart, Lord Krishna absorbed Meera in his own idol. When Meera's whole body was absorbed in the idol, a chunri started coming out from the idol of God. When those Brahmins saw that a chunri was coming out from the idol of God. But devotee Meera is missing. where she went ? Then a voice came from the idol of God. That devotee Meera has merged in me. Now she will not go to Chittor. You take this piece of chunri to Chittor. Only this will calm down all the disturbances there. It is said that as soon as those brahmins brought that piece of chunri to Chittor, the miseries of all the people there ended automatically. When Tansen told Emperor Akbar about Meera's inclusion in the statue, Akbar was also surprised. He bowed down to the devotee Mirabai in his mind.

 So devotees, who are true devotees, even God cannot stay away from them and gives them darshan himself.

किसने दिया माता लक्ष्मी को घोड़ी बनने का श्राप | Who cursed Goddess Lakshmi to become a mare?

 

एक बार माता लक्ष्मी एक बहुत ही सुंदर अश्व को देखने में इतनी ध्यान मग्न थी कि उन्होंने विष्णु भगवान की बातों पर ध्यान ही नहीं दिया । इससे विष्णु भगवान क्रोधित हो गए और उन्होंने माता लक्ष्मी को पृथ्वी लोक पर घोड़ी बनकर रहने का श्राप दे दिया । माता लक्ष्मी कुछ नही बोली । क्योंकि वे जानती थी कि जरूर भगवान की इसमें कुछ लीला है । क्योंकि भगवान के मुंह से कोई भी शब्द यूं ही अनायास नहीं निकलता । वे भगवान की आज्ञा अनुसार पृथ्वी लोक पर यमुना और तमसा नदी के पास वन में जाकर घोड़ी के रुप में रहने लगी ।  माता लक्ष्मी श्राप के निवारण हेतु शिव शंकर की भक्ति करने लगी । कई वर्षों तक उन्होंने शिवजी की कठोर तपस्या की । उसके पश्चात शिव भगवान ने माता लक्ष्मी को दर्शन दिए और उनसे उनकी इच्छा पूछी । तो माता लक्ष्मी ने कहा कि – वे इस अश्व योनि से मुक्ति पाना चाहती है । किंतु विष्णु भगवान के कहे अनुसार उन्हें अश्व योनि से मुक्ति तभी मिलेगी , जब वे किसी संतान को जन्म देंगी । इसलिए उन्होंने भगवान शिव से कहा कि आप जाकर विष्णु भगवान से अश्व रूप धारण करने को कहिए । शिव शंकर भगवान ने माता लक्ष्मी को एक पुत्र होने का वरदान दिया और उन्होंने विष्णु भगवान से जाकर माता लक्ष्मी के श्राप से मुक्ति की प्रार्थना की । शिव शंकर की बात को सुनकर भगवान विष्णु ने पृथ्वी लोक पर आकर अश्व का रूप धारण किया । तब माता लक्ष्मी और विष्णु भगवान की शक्ति से एक पुत्र का जन्म हुआ जिसका नाम एकवीर था । उस पुत्र को जन्म देते ही माता लक्ष्मी अपने वास्तविक स्वरूप में आ गई । तब विष्णु भगवान भी अपने वास्तविक स्वरूप में आ गए और उन्होंने माता लक्ष्मी से कहा कि देवी मैंने , जो तुम्हें श्राप दिया था । इसके पीछे भी एक कारण था ।  तब विष्णु भगवान बोले कि राजा ययाति के वंशज हरिवर्मा मेरे जैसे पुत्र को प्राप्त करने के लिए तपस्या कर रहे हैं । उन्हें अपने जैसा पुत्र प्रदान करने के लिए ही मैंने यह लीला की थी । हम इस बालक को इसी वन में छोड़ जाएंगे और हरिवर्मा इस बालक को अपने साथ ले जाएंगे । भगवान विष्णु और माता लक्ष्मी के इसी पुत्र से हैहय वंश की उत्पत्ति हुई थी ।

Once Goddess Lakshmi was so engrossed in seeing a very beautiful horse that she did not pay attention to the words of Lord Vishnu. This enraged Lord Vishnu and he cursed Mother Lakshmi to live on earth as a mare. Mata Lakshmi did not say anything. Because she knew that God must have some leela in this. Because no word comes out of the mouth of God without any reason. As per the order of God, she went to the forest near Yamuna and Tamsa river on earth and started living in the form of a mare. Mother Lakshmi started worshiping Shiv Shankar to get rid of the curse. For many years he did severe penance to Lord Shiva. After that Lord Shiva appeared to Goddess Lakshmi and asked her about her wish. So Mata Lakshmi said that – she wants to get rid of this horse vagina. But according to the saying of Lord Vishnu, she will get freedom from horse vagina only when she gives birth to a child. That's why he asked Lord Shiva to go and ask Lord Vishnu to take the form of a horse. Lord Shiva Shankar blessed Mata Lakshmi to have a son and she went to Lord Vishnu and prayed to get rid of the curse of Mata Lakshmi. After listening to Shiv Shankar, Lord Vishnu took the form of a horse by coming to the earth. Then a son was born with the power of Mother Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu, whose name was Ekveer. Mother Lakshmi came in her real form as soon as she gave birth to that son. Then Lord Vishnu also appeared in his real form and said to Mother Lakshmi that Goddess I cursed you. There was a reason behind this too. Then Lord Vishnu said that Harivarma, the descendant of King Yayati, is doing penance to get a son like me. I had done this leela only to give him a son like myself. We will leave this child in this forest and Harivarma will take this child with him. The Haihay dynasty originated from this son of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi.

श्री कृष्ण भगवान बालपन में गोपियों का माखन चुराते थे और गोपियां श्री कृष्ण की शिकायत लेकर माता यशोदा के पास आती थी । एक दिन यशोदा मैया श्री कृष्ण की इन हरकतों से परेशान होकर उनके पीछे छड़ी लेकर दौड़ी । श्री कृष्ण ने देखा कि आज तो मैया बहुत ही क्रोधित है , तो वे भागकर एक कुम्हार के घर चले गए । कुम्हार मिट्टी के बर्तन बना रहा था । श्री कृष्ण ने कहा कि – काका , मेरी मैया मेरे पीछे छड़ी लेकर दौड़ रही हैं । वह बहुत ही क्रोध में है । इसलिए मुझे आप थोड़ी देर के लिए कहीं छुपा दो । कुम्हार ने श्रीकृष्ण को एक बड़े से मटके के नीचे छुपा दिया । थोड़ी देर में यशोदा मैया भी वहां पर आ गई और बोली  – क्यों रे ! कुम्हार तूने मेरे लल्ला को कहीं देखा है । तब कुम्हार बोला – नहीं मैया,  मैंने तुम्हारे  लल्ला को नहीं देखा । यशोदा मैया वहां से चली जाती हैं । यशोदा मैया के जाने के बाद श्री कृष्ण कुम्हार से कहते हैं कि –  काका , मुझे बाहर निकालो । तब कुम्हार कहता है कि नहीं भगवन , ऐसे नहीं आज तो आप बहुत समय बाद मेरे पकड़ने में आए हो । मैं आपको ऐसे नहीं निकालूंगा ।  श्री कृष्ण कहते हैं कि – क्यों काका ? मुझे यहां से जल्दी  निकालो । तब कुम्हार कहता है कि – मैंने सुना है , कि आप साक्षात भगवान का अवतार है । इसलिए आप मुझे 84 लाख योनियों से मुक्त होने का वचन दे , तभी मैं आपको यहां से बाहर निकालूंगा । श्री कृष्ण भगवान ने कहा – ठीक है , काका ऐसा ही होगा । मैं आपको वचन देता हूं । अब तो मुझे यहां से निकालो । तब कुम्हार कहता है कि – भग्वन मेरे साथ – साथ मेरे परिवार को भी 84 लाख योनियों से मुक्त करो । श्री कृष्ण कहते हैं –  ठीक है  काका , मैं यह भी वचन देता हूं । अब तो मुझे बाहर निकालो । तब कुम्हार कहता है – अभी नहीं प्रभु , बस मेरी एक छोटी सी विनती और है । उसे भी आप स्वीकार कर लीजिए । कृष्ण भगवान बोले कि – बताओ , उसे भी बताओ । तब कुम्हार कहता है कि जिस मिट्टी के घड़े के नीचे आप छिपे हुए हैं । उस मिट्टी को मैं अपने बैलों पर लाद के लाया था ।  उन बैलों को भी आप 84 लाख योनियों से मुक्त करने का वचन दे । तभी मैं आपको इस मटकी से बाहर निकालूंगा । श्री कृष्ण भगवान उसकी इस प्रेम भक्ति को देखकर बहुत ही प्रसन्न थे । उन्होंने कहा –  तथास्तु , ऐसा ही हो । कृष्ण भगवान बोले – अब तो काका , मुझे बाहर निकालो । कुम्हार कहता है कि –  भगवन , एक विनती और है । तब भगवान बोले – अब कौन रह गया । तुमने अपने सब परिवारजन को तो 84 लाख योनियों से मुक्त करवा दिया है । अब कौन सी विनती है , उसे भी बताओ ।  तब कुम्हार बोला कि –  हे भगवन , आप और मेरे बीच में जो यह बातें हो रही है , जो भी व्यक्ति इस संवाद को सुनेगा । उसे भी आप उस 84 लाख योनियों से मुक्त होने का वरदान दो । तब कुम्हार श्री कृष्ण भगवान को उस मिट्टी के मटके से बाहर निकाल देता है । वह  भगवान के गले लग कर खूब रोता है और उनके चरणों में गिर जाता है । उनके चरणों को धोता है और चरणामृत को पीता है और अपने सारे घर में उस चरणामृत का छिड़काव करता है । अपनी मृत्यु के समय वो श्री कृष्ण भगवान में ही विलीन हो जाता है ।

  भक्तों , जब कृष्ण भगवान गोवर्धन जैसे ऊंचे पर्वत को अपनी एक उंगली पर उठा सकते हैं , तो क्या वे एक मिट्टी का मटका नहीं उठा सकते थे । परंतु यह सब तो भगवान की लीला थी । क्योंकि वे प्रेम में बंधे हुए थें। कुम्हार पूर्व जन्म में उनका बहुत ही बड़ा भक्त था । उस कुम्हार को मोक्ष प्रदान करने के लिए ही भगवान ने यह लीला रची ।

Lord Shri Krishna used to steal the butter of the gopis in his childhood and the gopis used to come to mother Yashoda with complaints about Shri Krishna. One day Yashoda Maiya ran after Shri Krishna carrying a stick after getting disturbed by these antics. Shri Krishna saw that mother was very angry today, so he ran away to a potter's house. The potter was making pottery. Shri Krishna said – Kaka, my mother is running behind me with a stick. He is very angry. That's why you hide me somewhere for a while. The potter hid Shri Krishna under a big pot. In a while Yashoda Maiya also came there and said - Why! Potter, have you seen my Lalla somewhere? Then the potter said - No mother, I have not seen your Lalla. Yashoda Maiya leaves from there. After the departure of mother Yashoda, Shri Krishna tells the potter – Kaka, take me out. Then the potter says that no God, it is not like that today you have come to catch me after a long time. I will not take you out like this. Shri Krishna says – Why uncle? get me out of here fast Then the potter says that - I have heard that you are the incarnation of God. That's why you promise me to be free from 84 lakh species, only then I will get you out of here. Lord Shri Krishna said - Okay, uncle it will be like this. I promise you Now get me out of here. Then the potter says that – God free me as well as my family from 84 lakh births. Shri Krishna says - Okay uncle, I promise this too. Get me out now. Then the potter says - Not now Lord, I just have one more small request. You accept that too. Lord Krishna said - tell, tell him too. Then the potter says that the earthen pot under which you are hidden. I had brought that soil by loading it on my oxen. You also promise to free those bulls from 84 lakh births. Only then I will get you out of this pot. Lord Krishna was very pleased to see this devotion of his love. He said - Amen, so be it. Lord Krishna said - Now uncle, take me out. The potter says that - God, there is one more request. Then God said – who is left now? You have freed all your family members from 84 lakh species. Now what is the request, tell that too. Then the potter said - O God, whatever is happening between you and me, whoever listens to this dialogue. Give him the boon of being free from those 84 lakh births. Then the potter takes Lord Krishna out of that earthen pot. He weeps profusely hugging the Lord and falls at His feet. Washes their feet and drinks Charanamrit and sprinkles that Charanamrit all over his house. At the time of his death, he merges in Lord Krishna.

  Devotees, when Kṛṣṇa can lift a mountain as high as Lord Govardhana on His one finger, could He not have lifted an earthen pot. But all this was God's leela. Because they were bound in love. The potter was his great devotee in his previous birth. God created this leela only to provide salvation to that potter.
